In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

ANASTASIA TASOULA

Anastasia Tasoula is 19 years old and a psychology student. She suffers from Cystic Fibrosis, a life threatening hereditary disease. Her dream is to travel the world, while simultaneously changing the lives of people around her.

Damianos Vavanos

Since he was a kid, Damianos was a dreamer who believed that he could change the world. Like every dreamer he travelled through time collecting experiences that brought him to the point of creating “Social Hackers Academy, a special technology school, whose aim is to train vulnerable social groups in New Technologies. Having gone through many professions in his lifetime, he found his passion in the field of business, by founding his own digital marketing company. Among other things, he decided to take a leap into social entrepreneurship, something that changed his life.

Dimitris Pappas

Dimitris Pappas is currently writing his PhD thesis at the National Kapodistrian University of Athens, titled “Consciousness, given or emerging trait”, a theme that combines philosophy with the study of the mind, through contemporary cognitive science. He is a professional science, informatics and mathematics teacher since 2003. At the same time he composes and materializes innovative and interactive science teaching programs that combine different scientific fields, even construction skills. In this context he has created the “MindFest” interactive exhibition for the mind and knowledge.

Dino MFU

Club-goers have definitely seen Dino MFU on decks, since he is one of the most famous greek DJ-Producers and a successful businessman.

Giannis Koniaris

Giannis Koniaris is a student and a person full of energy, who tries not to let a day pass without having given it the color it deserves. His personal vision is to interact with as many cultures as possible.

Giorgos Chatzipavlou

Giorgos Chatzipavlou is a professional comedian focused on stand-up comedy since 2007. He could be described as innovative, since he is the first to permanently stage stand-up comedy shows in a theater in Greece, while in 2014 he also created “Stand up for U”, a comedy institution supporting philanthropical initiatives. He has also created “Comedy club for children", a stand-up comedy show for children aged 6-12.

H.P.G.C. -

H.P.G.C. is a Gospel chore with a special aesthetic that consists of 26 Nigerian children, all born and raised in Greece, aged between 7 and 19. This chore’s goal is not only to touch our hearts through their songs but also to give a voice to people here who, even though they were born in our country, live in the shadows.

Ian Stratis

Graduate of Pallini’s Music Lyceum, he was a front man of Mad Street and one of the 2016 X-Factor’s finalists. He stood up thanks to his stage performance as well as his vocal skills. While performing live with his House Band at “Stavros tou Notou” club, he starred in great musicals such as “Evita”, “Hair”, “Grease” and “The Steadfast Tin Soldier”. Parallel to his appearance in “Cats”, he started preparing for the next steps of his solo career.

John Koenig

John Koenig, a graphic designer and movie creator, over the course of the past few years has been creating his own dictionary, titled: "The Dictionary of obscure sorrows". It consists of made up words that express feelings for which there were no specific terms up until the creation of the dictionary.

Konstantinos Peristeris

Konstantinos Peristeris isn’t just a doctor of the NHS, he is also a member of a positive energy team called #destothetika, creating positive messages that impact millions of people. He strongly believes that positive thoughts lead to positive habits that add magic to our life.

Mada Tsagia-Papadakou

Mada Tsagia-Papadakou is the Founder and CEO of W.I.N. HELLAS, a public benefit organization aiming to prevent and minimize violence against women. Her personal experiences inspired her to found W.I.N Hellas. While recognizing the importance of information, she explains how we let ourselves become victims of violence and stay in an abusive environment and what “tools” and “skills” one needs to get out of such a situation.

Maria Liakakou

Maria Liakakou is a psychologist-therapist and blogger. She has been studying human relationships for years, focusing on those that are characterized by manipulation, lies and deceit.

Stavros Psyllakis

Stavros Psyllakis isn’t just a director of anthropocentric documentaries. In his work, through his lens, he tries to record and imprint, the adventures of human existence. His films are "small adoptions", as he likes to call them.

Thodoris Papaloukas

Anyone interested in the world of sports knows Thodoris Papaloukas. He is a top basketball player in Europe, who apart from his success in the teams he played for, he also found great success during his years playing for the Greek National Basketball Team.

Thomas Christis

Thomas Christis is 24 years old and a top graduate of the University of Piraeus’ Economics Department. Since he was a child he developed a passion for music, a relationship that goes on until now. Apart from his regular job, he makes live performances. His dream job? The realization of a big concert, always with his band on his side.
