This July 13, members of the public will be able to virtually attend TEDGlobal 2011 through an independently produced TEDxWoodsHoleLive event, which will live stream one day of the conference to Woods Hole.
Beginning before sunrise, attendees at TEDxWoodsHoleLive will have a chance to experience talks and performances streamed live from TEDGlobal, featuring some of the world's preeminent thought leaders and artists - economists, comedians, rational optimists, anti-hunger activists, singers, debunkers, geneticists, roboticists, techno-illusionists, and more. TEDGlobal is taking place in Edinburgh, Scotland - and TEDxWoodsHoleLive is bringing a piece of it to Woods Hole!
TEDxWoodsHoleLive is free and open to the public, and no reservations will be taken. Attendees may come and go as they wish.
TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Watch for TEDxWoodsHole, coming October 15, 2011.
