Theme: "BEYOND THE WALL"

This event occurred on
July 27, 2018
Port Harcourt, Rivers
Nigeria

“BEYOND THE WALL” as a framework will provide insights as to understanding Ideals, Design, Politics, Education, Communication, Human Rights, Entertainment, Technology, the economy, Governance, Policies, Cuisine, Lifestyle, Health plan, Human resources and the list goes on. Speakers will explore the various opined views of where we are as well as give a forecast on where we are going, judging from current indices and futuristic tendencies.
Designing and developing anything of consequence is incredibly challenging, the wall sometimes is unaware of itself, as it goes through the evolution cycle and other times the quest for simplicity has to pervade every part of the process. Whether you’re affiliated to any religious divide, a scientist, philosopher or just an average Joe, one has to recognize intelligently the beauty in the relationship between “the gown (the academic wall) and the town (other world) to some degree.
You get the feeling that nature tends towards “The Wall”, and that “The Wall” has its way of keeping away valuable information for the future to unravel. The irony however is that sometimes; the most profound insights of “The Wall” lies within us and our thought patterns. Sometimes, the most successful societies are those that have found dynamic answers to these “unanswerable” questions.
The wall has its advantages, its reasons, “its nuances, its ramifications, its dimensions and its negative trends that has come to stay with us as humans.
With TEDx University of Port Harcourt 2018, we hope to create thought provoking conversations that assure a tomorrow which feels meaningful in its contribution to creating more opportunities, possibilities, true productivity, and choices while we filter through various fields of human endeavor. It is our aim to harness and augment the ideas usually found “BEYOND THE WALL” which we find beautiful, interesting and useful, using abstract intelligence and disruptive thinking as footstools for seeing “BEYOND THE WALL”.
