x = independently organized TED event

This event occurred on
April 20, 2018
Vancouver, British Columbia
Canada

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Beatriz Andrino

One of Beatriz’s biggest passions is film and cinema. Her favourite movies are a Clockwork Orange for it’s storyline and Lost in Translation for the meaning. The thing she loves about film, is that it’s an escape from reality and a peak into another person’s world.

Emmanuel Cantiller

Emmanuel is yet another Grade 12 Student at Eric Hamber. He loves public speaking and has taken an avid interest in the humanities. Emmanuel will strive to create a law that will immortalize TedX Talks in the Constitution, and make “Vancouver Great Again” by illegal-izing expensive housing.

Gurnaz Sandhu

Gurnaz is an active member in her school and community. During the summer she participated in a pageant and won the title of Miss Teen Greater Vancouver. Ever since then, she has had the opportunity to attend events, parades, raise money for various charities, and model as well.
