In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Abhijay Negi

Mr. Abhijay Negi has completed his post graduation in Civil Law from the University of Oxford on full scholarship. Winner of the Damodarshree National Award for Academic Excellence, Abhijay is playing an active role to make Dehradun cleaner and healthier for all of us through his organization, Making A Difference (MAD). Abhijay has also participated in the Global Scholars Symposium held at the University of Cambridge.

Col. DPK Pillay

Col. Pillay was selected to serve in his alma mater, Bangalore Military School, after he was decorated with the Shaurya Chakra, India's third highest peacetime gallantry award. Col. Pillay was one of the only three awardees to be felicitated with the Special Achievement Award for his acts of courage and optimism and bringing about a bigger change in the country. He has also represented the Ministry of Defence at the Conference on Disarmament at the UN office at Geneva. The soldier's humanitarian services have earned him the sobriquet of "Hero of Manipur" and "Savior of Longdi Pabram".

Jyoti Dhawan

Ms. Jyoti Dhawan is the former Principal of Him Jyoti School, Dehradun. Mr. Tyagi is a Commonwealth scholarship holder and is the CEO of ‘Global Energisers’. He has shared the screen space with actors like Priyanka Chopra, Kareena Kapoor, Bipasha Basu, Vivek Agnihotri and Mahi Gill.

Padmini Sambasivam

Mrs. Padmini Sambasivam, Principal, Welham Girls’ School, Dehradun, is trained to be a solo pilot and represented the Tamil Nadu & Pondicherry contingent in the Republic day celebrations in Delhi. She is an avid trekker and adventure enthusiast. In the year 2010, Mrs. Sambasivam moved on to take an assignment in the Kingdom Of Saudi Arabia. Her role was to re-engineer the academic process in a chain of schools across all major cities of the Kingdom. She worked in the capacity of Director, Academics, for The PEEVEES Group. She worked there for 6 years before moving to Dehradun to take over as Principal, Welham Girls’ School.
