In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Ashok Bhagat

Ashok Bhagat, popularly known as Baba Ji, is an Indian social worker and the secretary of Vikas Bharti, a non governmental organization working for the upliftment of rural population of Jharkhand. He was born in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh, holds a master's degree in Arts and a graduate degree in Law and is a nominated leader of Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan campaign for the state of Jharkhand. The Government of India honoured him in 2015 with the Padma Shri, the fourth highest Indian civilian award for his contributions to the area of social service.

Sharon Lowen is an Odissi dancer, trained since 1975 by Guru Kelucharan Mohapatra. She has performed and choreographed for film and television and presented hundreds of concerts throughout India, North America, Asia, Africa, the United Kingdom. and the Middle East. Sharon came to India in 1973 after degrees in Humanities, Fine Arts, Asian Studies and Dance from the University of Michigan as a Fulbright Scholar to study Manipuri and later Chhau and Odissi.

Thoguluva Shesadri Chandrasekar (born 1956) is an Indian gastroenterologist and the founder chairman of Medindia Hospitals, a healthcare facility based in Chennai. He is credited with the performance of over 23,000 endoscopy procedures and is known for the Braille chart on personal hygiene he prepared in 2015 for the visually impaired people.The Government of India awarded him the fourth highest civilian honour of the Padma Shri, in 2016, for his contributions to medicine
