The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Dr. Binish Desai is an innovator and a Social Entrepreneur working on industrial waste recycling and management. He currently has 150+ eco-product under the EcoEclectic Technologies banner in India and have received many national and international awards for his contributions such as being youngest to be awarded with "Rotary International Alumni Humanitarian of the Year" award for South Asia, Forbes 30Under 30 Asia 2018 list of successful Social Entrepreneurs etc. He is know as Waste Warrior and Recycle Man of India for his works in recycling more than 700 tonnes of Industrial waste. He will be giving an insight about “Waste as Luxury”, waste is always thought to be useless, but he will walk us through how waste can be a luxury home decor with a social and environmental purpose.

His talk would be on "Freewill v/s Destiny.’ He will be edifying us by stating the difference between destiny and freewill of an individual and how one should avoid believing their destiny and start making their will power.

Nadirshaw Dhondy

Nadirshaw Dhondy , presently the Advocate of Supreme Court. Besides being an advocate, he is the Founder Member and Vice President of Indian Society of Victimology. He is the former officer on special duty with the auxiliary police for the entire Maharashtra state, which is the only auxiliary force of India. And he have immense faith in rights of an individual, so he is working for it as a Human Right Activist. He will be there to eradicate the misconception regarding “Victomology.” Synopsis of his idea is how a victim’s trauma is taken care of and what the unaware laws are for the victims which are unknown to layman. What challenges a victim has to survive and how the victim faces the society. But it’s not all about victim, our justice machinery is also responsible for the consequencs occurred. Looking to the present scenario, the veteran will be giving us a profound insight of the future of victims.

Pranav Lal

Blind Photographer
Pranav Lal, 32, is blind since birth, and he is an excellent photographer. Using technology, not to mention creativity, he has challenged and broken stereotypes associated with the visually impaired. In 2001, he stumbled upon a software called the ‘Voice’, that claims to give a visual experience to the blind. The software essentially converts images into sound which he hears through the headphones and determines what he is looking at. Pranav believes that all obstacles can be tackled – and he never forgets to carry a camera on his trips. With dedicated support from his parents and loved ones, Pranav has never let his handicap deter him from anything – be it studies, or snapping the shutter. His talk will be surrounding about "How to build your own eye" - A technology that enables vision for visually impaired. With a mix of hardware and software, a camera attached to user's head will provide them motion and audible guidance to move forward.

Preksha Kaparwan

Preksha is a IHM Pusa graduate, professionally a chef but got inclined towards technology and business analytics. Originally she thought that maybe marketing is the way to go for her , but she hit rock bottom there. “I am a creator and market rejected me because i didn't know ’t’ of technology” as she says. She Learned business and data analytics and things started to turn. She has raised $300k for Realbox and their customers include, VLCC, Reliance & PVR. She was awarded ‘She sparks 2018’ by your story for tech services. Moreover, she have also taught as an assistant Lecturer in IHM college when she was 22. She will be talking about “Voice Assisted Technology : How should it impact us for good “. What are the social impact & the power it may hold for shaping our families, our generation. How can it affect our life and others. What are our chance to grab our freedom from digital pollution and use that attention to nurture our families and friends, still living in a high-tech world.

Rhythm Rastogi

Rhythm Rastogi is an 18 year old high school graduate from Vadodara, Gujarat. Since the past four years she has been working in the field of menstrual hygiene awareness for young girls and women and has been coined as the 'Padgirl of Vadodara' for her efforts in spreading knowledge to over 300 females of the city. She has been recognised by various media channels, news outlets and celebrities for her work. Rhythm aims to dissipate the stigmas surrounding menstruation and propagate it as a healthy and normal process. The idea is to talk about menstruation as a normal process rather than burdening it with stigmas and taboos. I'd redefine the myths and source Indian beliefs and discuss solutions or common things young students don't know.
