This event occurred on
June 23, 2018
Folkestone, Kent
United Kingdom

TEDxFolkestone is returning on June 23rd 2018 at the Quarterhouse, Folkestone, after a successful inaugural event in 2017.

The search is now on for Kent people who want to share their inspirational stories and insight as part of the 2018 event. The TEDxFolkestone conference aims to champion inspiration, innovation, collaboration and leadership across the community and Kent businesses.

The theme for the 2018 conference is ‘Courage to Step Beyond’. Potential speakers are encouraged to offer a personal interpretation of this and apply it to their own insights, experiences and stories.

With courage, people can push past the boundaries created by fear to achieve extraordinary things and discover they personally possess almost unlimited potential to achieve. With courage, we can all reach beyond our comfort zone, to develop and grow.

Ideas are needed to fuel innovation in today's fast-changing world. They can come from anywhere, and anyone. TEDxFolkestone offers an important platform to share new ideas and inspiration.

He analyses it by peeling back the data layers, cleaning and reformatting it to improve its quality and usability and finally, uses it to tell stories to support and increase its impact. So much of modern life is driven by data. It’s collated by algorithms and machines, and yet it’s the line between machines and humans that really interests Soti.
