Through the holistic approach to learning, manifested by the IB program, and the spirit of the TED motto "ideas worth spreading", the students of École Mondiale World School strive to materialise a TED-like event, that can kindle conversation, facilitate change, and create opportunities for the community, speakers, and organisers. The TEDxEMWS event, located in a predominantly college-filled neighbourhood, is a brilliant opportunity for the youthful population.

Ankur Chaudhary

Programme Assistant
Ankur Chaudhary, an SRCC Graduate with majors in commerce and economics, has worked in United Nations (UNIDO), Adobe and is currently serving the likes of The Economist. He has a strong passion of taking part of many entrepreneurial ventures, social and otherwise, which seek to change the world and transform the lives of targeted individuals. Ankur strives to shed light upon how the internet is transforming different forms of government and how it will lead to more participatory democracy.

Asha Kumar

Educator
Asha Kumar, a feminist with eclectic interests and a constant need to explore is a writer by choice and an educator by profession. She has an everlasting interest in literature and language and believes that language as a whole is more important than just literacy. Asha Kumar has consistently endeavoured to appreciate different modes of language because of the flippant attitude towards it.

Shreya Punjabi

Student and Author
Shreya Punjabi is a 16-year-old, she is a voracious reader and has a great passion for writing. In fact, one of her stories was chosen amongst thousands to be published in the book, “For us, By us” when she was merely ten! Her views on the world around her are shaped by her everyday experiences, and she is never one to shy away from issues of importance. As a teenager in the digital age where ideas and opinions are both diverse and complex, she tries to bring perspective to what it means to grow up in modern day India.

Sonaksha Iyengar

Artist
Sonaksha is a 22-year-old illustrator, writer, and artist. Her work has been featured across the globe on platforms such as Buzzfeed, Al Jazeera, Huffington Post, and Mashable, among others. Through her art on social media, and her series, the A to Z of Mental Health she attempts to create a safe space where people can discuss mental health. Through her talk, learn about her journey of discovering art as a powerful tool against the negative perceptions people have regarding the same.

Vatsin Suchak

Programmer
With 9 years of experience in Robotics, Vatsin Suchak has developed an approach to learning STEM through application. Vatsin represented India at the “Olympics of Robotics” at the FIRST Global Challenge in 2017, and his passion for mathematics and robotics led him to winning the Zhang Heng Engineering Design Award and the Match Points Award along with his team. His research passions range from applications of RFID technology to Water Harvesting to Theoretical Physics and Mathematics.
