In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Aniruddha Pandit

Dean HR and Professor at ICT, Pioneer Researcher
Dr. A.B. Pandit, who is currently the Dean of Human Resource Development and one of the most respected professors at the Institute of Chemical Technology(ICT), in the 4th edition of TEDxICTMumbai, will speak to you about the contribution of chemical engineering in the upliftment of rural areas in India and will negate the common perception of masses on chemical engineering being an engineering branch that only caters to the urban population and in the process contributes largely to the environmental degradation

Anupriya Banerjee

Drama Therapist
Anupriya Bannerjee is the founder and creative director for Doctor Drama. She employs techniques of theatre, art, music and dance in the process of mental healthcare with people across ages and abilities. She has worked with patients diagnosed with acute forms of psychosis and chemical dependency in New York based mental health hospitals namely Lenox Hill Hospital, Kings County Hospital and Brookdale Hospital. Currently she is collaborating with Parikrama (Mumbai) to work with geriatric populations across the state of Maharastra, India. She also does 1:1 sessions with adults experiencing depression and post-traumatic stress responses.

Giulia Ambrogi

Giulia Ambrogi, the name behind the 'Sassoon Docks Art Project', is a public and urban art curator and is the co-founder of St+art, the Indian street art movement. After three years working for MAXXI museum, the most important contemporary art museum in Italy, Giulia was committed to spreading the culture of public and urban art especially in Italy and India. Her speech will revolve around the urge of making art, specifically public art, inspiring people and creating a social change through art, the dynamics of which create an inadvertent and potential source of transformation of the self and relationships to the social environment.

Meaghan Pandian

Meagan Pandian, is India’s first international harp player! Meagan who was born and brought up in Mumbai, is also the recipient of 'The Young Musician of the Year 2014'. She has already carved a niche for herself in the Music Industry through her unique talent and has been part of A.R. Rahman’s concerts and even toured abroad as part of the music ensemble of many concerts by Arijit Singh.

Omung Kumar

Omung Kumar is an Indian film director, and production designer, known for his works in Hindi cinema. He made his directorial debut with the 2014 biographical sports drama Mary Kom starring Priyanka Chopra. He and the film received several awards and nominations, including the National Film Award for Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment. He came up with his second film Sarbjit which was a biopic based on the life of "Sarabjit Singh" starring Aishwarya Rai and Randeep Hooda! He has also worked on Sanjay Leela Bhansali's films such as Black (2005) and Saawariya (2007).

ACP Pratap Dighavkar is the Additional Commissioner of the Mumbai Police, a steadfast servant of the Indian Government who started off as a humble farmer and is now accredited with being one of the handful of people who are putting in consistent efforts in creating dispute-resolution bodies in different districts to rid rural India of the incessantly increasing burden of unsolved trials and fights. ACP Pratap Dighavkar is single-handedly spearheading the Tanta Mukti Gram Yojana in Maharashtra. This unique dispute resolution scheme was launched by the state Government in 2007 to resolve civil and minor criminal cases at the village level. According to ACP Dighavkar, most rivalries are political and, therefore, he got all political leaders to participate in this dispute-resolution process His out-of-the-box solution to resolve disputes if followed at the national level will considerably ease the legal burden and also make justice accessible to one and all.
