2018 marks the 10th anniversary of TEDxBerlin and the launch of the first TEDx event in Germany!

On June 27, 2018 we will celebrate a decade's worth of great ideas, inspiring speakers and wonderful performers who have contributed to TEDxBerlin, and we aspire to make it our most exciting event ever. We will have speakers that come from near and far, some of whom will return to TEDxBerlin not only to celebrate with us but also to share their success stories after taking to the TEDxBerlin stage, as well as others who will bring us fresh ideas and their own remarkable stories. The iconic Philharmonie will be the perfect setting for our 10th anniversary edition and will provide an outstanding stage for our speakers and performers. So, what are you waiting for? Join us for the Big 10 and be part of the celebration!

"Cookie" Heinz Gindullis

Unlike any other, Cookie has shaped Berlin’s club and hospitality scene. A vegetarian himself since the age of 8, he opened Cookies Cream in 2007. Cookies Cream was awarded a Michelin star in 2017, as the first strictly vegetarian restaurant in Germany and one of very few worldwide. In 2014, Crackers, a restaurant with internationally inspired dishes, was opened. Crackers is located at the last premises of the legendary Cookies Club that was first opened in 1994. The most recent gastronomic project is Data Kitchen - a digital concept in cooperation with SAP where guests use an app to order. In addition, Cookies Events organizes and develops international events and caterings.

Performance Meute

The Techno Marching Band MEUTE fills in a gap you never knew existed: combining hypnotic driving techno and expressive brass band music, freeing electronic music from the DJ desk and overhauling the image of marching bands. Just drums and brass, no computers involved, this is all they need to revolutionize techno music and bring it back to its roots at the same time. Be it on the streets or in the club, with or without electricity – MEUTE runs. MEUTE exploded onto the scene in 2016 through the viral success of their debut video “REJ”, from Berlin electronic duo Âme. Two years after their inception in Hamburg St. Pauli, the eleven full-blooded musicians in their iconic red jackets have managed to spread their love for hand-made electronic music all over Europe as one of the continent's most booked festival bands. A successful release of their album TUMULT, a sold out tour with more than 20 shows in Germany, Austria and Switzerland and a noteworthy spring season with further concerts in France, Luxemburg, Germany and the USA; this is how MEUTE is launching the festival season 2018, taking to the stages of the finest European festivals such as Hurricane/Southside (D), Solidays (F), Sziget (HU), St. Gallen (CH), Boomtown Fair (UK), BBK (ESP), Les Ardentes (BE), Strøm (DK) and many others.
