Theme: Should our future involve immortality?

For our first TEDxVilniusUniversitySalon we have decided to talk about the thing that some of us crave and some of us don't understand at all. The immortality, how science - fictionous does it sound right know, might be a common choice in the future. But first of all we must ask ourselves - are we worth living forever? Are we the ones to decide how long do we have to live? How would it affect the life, on earth, or even on the universe? Will science be able to control everything after the immortality becomes possible, or is it destined to remain a dream? We kindly invite everyone who is interested in this kind of discussion: let's meet at the Life Sciences Center of Vilnius University on November 14th.
