In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Archana Prashar

An engineer by qualification, Archana has always been extremely passionate about young children. Currently working as a PYP Coordinator in Singapore and with a Masters in Education, she has conducted official IB assignments in over 40 IB schools. Archana believes in contributing positively through mindful leadership and a service mindset. She works with a social impact start up called BuildtheWorld.org. In her talk, she focuses on the role students play in making the world a better place, and how leadership approaches and school cultures can create an environment for students to be mindful.

Armaan Manji

Armaan Manji is a student in grade 8 at the Aga Khan Academy Hyderabad. He was raised in East Africa and is an extremely talent photographer, dramatist and a cancer survivalist.

Dr. Chandrashekar DP

Dr. Chandrashekar is an educationist by profession and a leader by capability. A recipient of numerous awards, he has written a book "Right Way Leader" on a holistic, integrated approach to solving personal and professional problems by revealing a pathway for living with courage, order, responsibility and ethics.

Gauri N

Currently a PhD scholar in the department of film studies at English and Foreign Languages University, Hyderabad, and holding a Masters in film and literature, Gauri is passionate about parallel cinema. She enjoys working with a wide range of artistic mediums and dabbles in cartooning, wire sculpture, recycled art projects and street art. He research interests include experimental film, film philosophy and aesthetics of film and media.

Moiz Rajwani

Moiz is a recently graduated Diploma Programme student from the Aga Khan Academy Hyderabad, where he was Student Council president and key MUN organiser and debater. A fine athlete, he has an avid interest in philosophy and will be pursuing the subject at university.

Nivedita Paul Preksha Patil

Nivedita is a Junior School teacher at the Aga Khan Academy Hyderabad, and a professional odissi dancer. Preksha Patil is a student in grade 11 at the Academy, and is committed to service and leadership activities. She is also a talented classical dancer.

Pavana VP

An altruistic individual, Pavana is a devoted social worker who began her journey by taking up fundraising and documentation projects as an undergraduate student. She has worked with issues like human rights, feminism, gender and sexuality attaining countless experiences and unparalleled exposure. Turing her passion for photography into a medium of expression, she documents social reality through innovative photo essays.

Saathwik is a recently graduated Diploma Programme student from the Aga Khan Academy Hyderabad. He is a talented artist, singer and composer.

Sahir Devani

Demonstrating a penchant for selfless service, Sahir is a recently graduated Diploma Programme student at the Aga Khan Academy Hyderabad. With a never-ending passion for Islamic studies, Sahir wishes to pursue a degree in law and economics with a focus on diversity in the Islamic community.

Zahra Quadri

Believing everybody is an artist that can design ideas which represent them and what they stand for, Zahra holds creativity as the key to success. A recently graduated Diploma Programme student from the Aga Khan Academy Hyderabad, Zahra hopes to pursue a joint degree in fine arts and art history.
