The beginning of 2011 was full of negative news: terroristic explosion at the airport Domodedovo (Moscow), civil activities in Tunisia, Egypt after the beginning of the war in Libya and the earthquake in Japan that fallow to the brake of nuclear reactor and about 13 thousands of victims. That’s why we decided to discuss the nature of fears and the role of mass media in creating informational area.
Theme: Fears and Treats: real and imaginary.
We were interested to discuss the following questions:
Why do we need to be horrified? Human needs in breaking daily routine and in adrenalin.
What is the nature of fears: social and existential.
Terrorism – reality and informational field (mass media).
Media battle and battles in the media area (TV, internet, radio, newspapers).

Sergey Enikolopov, psychologist.
Sergey is PhD in psychology, Head of Department of criminal psychology at the faculty of juridical psychology of the Moscow State University of Psychology and Pedagogy. Sergey is the leading specialist by aggressive behavior.
Sphere if scientific interests is psychology of aggressive behavior, psychology of victimization, psychology of humor, ethno-psychology and psychosomatics.

Kirill Martinov, philosopher.
Kirill is PhD in philosophy, professor of philosophy in State University High School of Economics. Chief Editor of portal Opinion.ru
Sphere if professional interests is philosophy of consciousness, philosophy of language, political philosophy and sociology.
