In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Cecilia Weckstrom

An intrapreneur and change agent, I connect strategy with execution for global impact. A design background, MBA and operational experience have helped me master both divergent and convergent aspects of successful innovation and growth. And play a strong part of the LEGO turnaround to becoming the most powerful global brand* and #1 in CSR**. One the divergent side I have built a solid foundation in framing new opportunities and new consumer value propositions. And delivered them through graphic-, product- and experience design and cross-functional leadership. On the convergent side, I have led insights, digital marketing and -transformation to deliver and adapt to new markets and consumer needs. More recently, my focus has shifted to leading, bridging and balancing both across the organisation. Initially by defining and executing the strategy for engaging consumers, employees, customers, NGOs and the media in our sustainable materials mission. And now accelerating growth and value creation through diversity, inclusion and people innovation. Beyond work, I am a Board Trustee of the National Saturday Club. I'm also an International Advisory Board Member of HEC Paris and visiting Fellow at Central Saint Martins. Originally from Helsinki, Finland, I'm based in London, UK.
