ΕTHOS

PATHOS

TELOS

EREISMA
Ereisma is a word that has its origins in ancient times, though is still used today, both literally and metaphorically. Ereisma means something that is mounted or made in a given position to provide support. It also means everything that serves as the basis, the starting point and the foundation of an action, thought or state.
For us in TEDxAUTH, Ereisma is the foundations we are laying for a new framework at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, which we wish to see become stronger with each passing year.
The 3 sessions of our event are inspired by Aristotle: ETHOS and PATHOS
ΕTHOS
This session’s core is the characteristic spirit of a culture, ideology or community, as manifested in a man’s/woman’s attitudes and aspirations, his/her point of view towards his/her life and ambitions. The speeches of Session Ethos aim to highlight the credibility and the ethos of the issues that speakers will present.

PATHOS
This session’s core is the mood that’s created in the soul of the listener when listening to a personal story, built from scratch with passion and dreams. The speeches of Session Pathos aim to highlight the dynamics and energy of the issues the speakers will present.

TELOS
This session’s core is purpose. Telos is the fundamental principle of the Aristotelian philosophy and is connected with completion and achievement. The speeches of Session Telos aim to highlight the speakers’ goals and motivation in their lives.
