In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Ajay Gupta

An enterprising businessman, Dr. Ajay Gupta is a 47 year old entrepreneurial enthusiast known for having revolutionized the K-12 Education segment. Despite suffering from polio from when he was just 9 months old, Ajay is marching ahead at a rapid pace, overcoming hurdles with courage, determination and passion. Having closely observed the educational system of the country and awareness deficits, he envisions a tremendous scope of redefining education with technology in India. He has explored his interests in diverse fields including finance, export and the food industry. His first milestone in the education sector was the founding of the Bachpan, a play school, that has worked with 1100+ schools within a decade across the country and is meeting the educational needs of more than 1 lakh children. He is also behind the development of Prismart, a technical arm which is his innovation. Having started from e-learning modules, Prismart has now developed a range of educational resources in K-12 segment, involving speaking books, augmented reality, virtual reality, tablets, and robotics for the first time in India.

Gaurav Deka

Prefers the term Transpersonal Regression Therapist, instead of being called a medical doctor, Dr. Gaurav Deka is one of the very few medical professionals in India pioneering in Age Regression and Transgenerational Trauma Resolution Work. Specialized in psychodynamic therapy and cognitive neuroscience, he is most intrigued by the idea of the soul, the existence of time in the physical body, and the study of cosmology and consciousness. Gaurav is the only transpersonal expert from India to be invited to present his papers at Heidelberg University, Berlin Psychoanalytic Institute, and University of Vienna.

Sanjib Bhattacharya

Dancers trained under Sanjib Bhattacharya bring life to the words 'The Butterfly Effect,' blending the traditional forms Manipuri, Bharatnatyam and Kathak - truly a visual feast for the eyes!

Soha Moitra

A psychology graduate, having worked in different sectors from women's education to children rights, Soha Moitra is a strong believer in bringing about changes in the lives of the underprivileged. She started her professional career with a NGO called Niranter, which mainly deals with issues relating to gender. With Niranter, she worked extensively on literacy and educational programmes for women in Bundelkhand, Uttar Pradesh. Soha has spearheaded the initiative of child rights programming, and within a span of a decade, she grew in leadership to become the Director of the Northern Region and the Volunteer Action division at CRY – Child Rights & You. Currently, Soha chairs the sexual harassment committee for the Northern region at CRY and Expedia India.

Vikramjit Roopari

Vikramjit Singh Rooprai is an educator and a heritage activist, who uses History as a tool to teach modern subjects, bridging the gap between alternate and conventional teaching methodologies. The man behind the development of the techniques of Interdisciplinary Project Based Learning (iPBL), he strives to challenge the present system of education in India. Vikramjit is also responsible for setting up heritage labs and similar such clubs in schools, where students can conduct experiments inspired by their past, to better understand complex disciplines like physics, chemistry, mathematics, astronomy and political science.
