In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Abhinav Aggarwal

A DAIS alum and drop out from ISB Hyderabad (ranked 12 globally), Abhinav is the Co-Founder and CEO of the startup Fluid AI(TruTech) that develops Artificial Intelligence based solutions for various industries and sectors. This ambitious entrepreneur founded his company in school at the age of 17 along with his brother Raghav. Now, Fluid AI, selected by PM Modi's Startup India Campaign as the top 35 startups, is providing AI based solutions for companies like Rolls Royce and Axis Bank.

Niyoshi Parekh

Niyoshi Parekh is the youngest established artist in Mumbai’s spoken word poetry circuit. She has been performing at poetry slams around the city over the last year. Through spoken word, Niyoshi has grown to appreciate the ideas of artists from various social and ideological backgrounds. Most gratifyingly, what she brings to the spoken word community is her characteristic optimism. She has taken this passion forward, promoting spoken word among individuals around the city.

Ritu Verma

Ritu Verma is the co-founder and managing partner of Ankur Capital, an INR 40 crore social venture fund that invests in startup businesses that impact low-income communities in India. She is passionate about bringing innovation from lab to the market and did that for a decade across corporates - Unilever and Philips. She has a PhD in physics from University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from INSEAD.

Sheila Kanungo

Sheila Kanungo is a pistol-shooter who won the silver medal for Women's Air Pistol Pairs in the 2002 commonwealth games and is the current honorary secretary of the National Rifle Association along with being a top-class coach. Hailing from a small town where idea of a woman studying, let alone becoming a sportsperson, was pretty far-fetched, she has overcome an umpteen amount of barriers over the past 30 years to become a highly accomplished sportswoman. One of India’s top shooting coaches, Ms. Kanungo has won 13 National Championships and Several State Championships along with winning at the commonwealth games, and has also been awarded the Shiv Chhatrapati sports award.
