In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Dheeraj Roy

Memory Neuroscientist
Dheeraj Roy is a Neuroscientist and Postdoctoral Associate in the Department of Brain and Cognitive Sciences at MIT, and a member of the Picower Institute for Learning and Memory. His studies have taken him from Drexel University to Harvard University to MIT, helping him to realize his passion for neuroscience. Over the years, his research has led him to make groundbreaking discoveries in memory retrieval that could change the lives of Alzheimer’s sufferers.

Glenn Cohen is one of the world’s leading experts on the intersection of bioethics and the law, as well as health law. He is an award-winning speaker and writer having authored more than 98 articles and chapters appearing in countless journals and gaining coverage on ABC, CNN, MSNBC, PBS, the New York Times and more. He recently finished his role as one of the project leads on the multi-million dollar Football Players Health Study at Harvard aimed at improving NFL player health.

Michael & Amy Port

Performance Experts
Amy and Michael Port are the Founders of Heroic Public Speaking Worldwide. With MFAs in Acting from The Yale School of Drama and NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, respectively, they work like directors of theater rather than typical public speaking coaches. Separately, the duo has written several books that have been featured on noteworthy best sellers lists and acted professionally in theaters across the country. They leverage and apply their performance skills in ways that only well-trained actors know to the coaching of non-actors.

Mike Boston is a rapper, the voice of national campaigns for the Boston Celtics and the founder of Mobile Stü, a recording studio he takes into inner city neighborhoods to affect social change. Prior to founding Mobile Stü, Mike spent two decades using his artistic talents and humanitarian spirit in service of his community while at Roca, an organization devoted to keeping high-risk youths out of prison. His work has been recognized both locally and nationally.

Phunk Phenomenon

Tsedal Neeley

Tsedal Neeley is an award-winning professor in the Organization Behavior unit at the Harvard Business School. Prior to her academic career, Professor Neeley spent ten years working for companies like Lucent Technologies and The Forum Corporation in various areas including strategy for global customer experience, helping to shape her work which focuses on the effects of globalization on organizations and their employees. An accomplished writer, Professor Neely has been published in leading scholarly and practitioner outlets.
