In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Amrutha Gujjar

Amrutha is a junior at the University of Washington studying Computer Science. She has completed multiple software engineering internships at Google and Microsoft, and has worked on a wide range of products, including Google Maps and Windows Core Hypervisor. Amrutha is most passionate about bringing the reach of technology to all people in the world and democratizing the availability of information to help make people’s lives better. She truly believes that many of the world’s problems today can be tackled by access to information. She wants to work towards coming up with creative solutions to overcome the technical, social, cultural and political barriers to making the world a truly connected and inclusive place.

Beatrice Duchastel

Beatrice Duchastel de Montrouge is currently a junior at Inglemoor High School who is enrolled in the rigorous International Baccalaureate Diploma program. As the school's drum major, she is an active member of band, as well as other clubs such as being a co-president of Speech and Debate and staffing at multiple Model United Nations conferences. However, her true passion of museums is found every Saturday, when she volunteers at the Museum of Pop Culture in Seattle. This summer, she will be traveling the colleges of the East Coast, as well as writing about all of the wonderful museums she visits.

Haze Lee

Haze Lee is a junior in North Creek High School pursuing the path of a content creator. With her passion for storytelling, she has participated in various student film productions ranging from thrillers to documentaries that have been recognized through awards. A script writer and director, Haze also engages in the study of numerous languages and cultures to gain a deeper understanding on the topics conveyed in her content.

Kayla Yagi-Bacon

Kayla started playing violin at age 6. She currently studies with Simon James, Second Assistant Concertmaster of the Seattle Symphony. She has played at Seattle's Town Hall, the Cascade Symphony, New York, and King FM radio. She is the Principal Second Violin at the Seattle Youth Symphony. She has von various awards, including high-level honors at the national level.

Olivia Oomen

Olivia is a sophomore at Inglemoor High School. She is an IB Diploma track student along with being a member of the National Honor Society for the past four years. Aside from her academic work, Olivia spends her free time doing art. She has been awarded a National Gold Medal in Illustration from the Scholastic Art and Writing Awards and has also been in a teen art gallery at the Seattle Art Museum.

Vrishabhadev Sathish Kumar

Vrishabhadev Sathish Kumar is a rising senior at North Creek High School. Serving as the president of the school’s HOSA (Health Occupations Students of America) chapter, and avidly volunteering at Evergreen Health in Kirkland, he cultivates his passion for health care and helping others. Intrigued by the endless possibilities of the rapidly growing field of biotechnology, he also devotes his time and effort to biomedical research. Additionally, Vrishab is a longstanding member, and current officer of the FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America) chapter at North Creek.
