D.M. Arvind Mallik

Arvind Mallik is a research scholar at one of the prestigious MBA colleges in Karnataka. He believes innovation in Teaching can bring effective difference in the way we learn, re-learn and unlearn. He holds 5 world records and has won 10 National & 5 International Awards for implementing timely Tech Innovation into teaching. Divya Ramachandran

Artist, The Happy Wall Project
Divya is a strong believer that art is not just a passion but a channel to express, communicate and collaborate. She has spent the last many years experimenting with collaborative art projects that act as a means to bring together ideas, creativity and joy into public spaces. The Happy Wall Project, a mission to splash the city with color and happiness, was started to do just that. Divya has also deep dived into the Education space and is involved in formulating creative syllabuses for students across Schools to make learning more interactive, engaging and fun.

Dr. Akkai Padmashali

Transgender Activist
Dr Akkai Padmashali is a female Transgender, social activist whose journey is one of courage and determination. In 2014, she co-founded Ondede, an organization of feminists, activists, thinkers, and academics who recognized the need to converge the interests of three movements in the country – children’s rights, women’s rights, and the rights of sexual minorities. In October 2014, Padmashali was the only one person from India to be invited by the International Bar Association to address the social and legal status of sexual minorities at the national conference in Tokyo, Japan. In 2015, Padmashali became the first transgender awarded the Karnataka Rajyotsava Award, the second highest civilian honor presented by the Karnataka state government for her work in Social Sector. She received the Honorary Doctorate by the Indian Virtual University for Peace and Education, Switzerland. Padmashali is the first Transwoman in the world to receive Ashoka Global Fellowship.

Dr. Prabhakar Rao

Seed Keeper, Sustainable Agriculture Advocate
Prabhakar Rao has been a SEED KEEPER for over 25 years, collecting indigenous native vegetable seeds that are on the brink of extinction. His travels have taken him to remote parts of the world where his interactions with the older generation of farmers has allowed him access to these forgotten varieties. Returning to India in 2011, he conducted extensive testing of over 500 such varieties in his farm in Bengaluru, for genetic stability and environmental suitability. He has successfully saved and stabilized around 140 rare indigenous vegetable varieties from extinction. From his farm Hariyalee Seeds, he now reaches out to other passionate Seed Keepers, Farmers and Urban Gardeners, and collectively works towards the preservation and propagation of these rare vegetable varieties that are on the brink of extinction.

Dr. Shyam Bhat

Mental wellness & Meditation Expert, Trustee at Live Love Laugh Foundation
Dr Shyam Bhat is a mental wellness and meditation expert. He is a pioneer of Integrative Medicine and holistic psychiatry in India. He founded the Mind-Body Clinic in Bangalore, and is also the founder of Seraniti.com where he heads a team who provide integrated mind-body and emotional wellness therapies. Dr Bhat has developed the evidence based psychotherapeutic method, Integral Self Therapy, a transpersonal psychotherapy that combines the practice of meditation, the philosophy of Vedanta, along with insights from gestalt therapy, and existential therapies. Dr Bhat is a trustee at The Live Love Laugh Foundation, founded by Deepika Padukone, to increase awareness and decrease stigma around depression. Dr Bhat is also the author of the best-selling book "How to heal your broken heart: A psychiatrist’s guide to dealing with heartbreak'

J.A. Chowdhary

Special Chief Secretary & IT Advisor to the Chief Minister - Govt. of Andhra Pradesh
Mr. JA Chowdary, or JA as he is popularly known, is one of the prime movers in establishing the IT industry in the state of Andhra Pradesh, and in a career spanning close to three decades, has played many key roles in various capacities in both the government and corporate sectors. In his capacity as the founding Director of STPI at Bangalore, Hyderabad and Chennai, Mr. Chowdary played an important role in developing the IT industry in the states of Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu in the 1990s. He was one of the key architects of the Hi-Tech City & Cyberabad in Hyderabad, and also played a major role in founding the IIIT at Hyderabad. As a member of the IT Task Force set up by the then Chief Minister of A.P for implementing IT for the government, Mr. Chowdary ensured a healthy growth of the industry in Andhra Pradesh.

Nidhi Tiwari

Extreme terrain driver, outdoor educator, writer
Nidhi specializes in extreme overlanding (XOL). She is the first woman to drive a trans- continental distance of 23,800kms from Delhi to London, and the First Indian to drive to the Pole of Cold and on the Road of Bones in north eastern Siberia. She has extensive outdoor and jeeping experience in the Western Ghats, Indian Himalayan states, Nepal, Bhutan, USA, South Africa and Kenya.

Pothole Raja, Founder & CEO - GroundReality
In short, Prathaap is a Serial & Social entrepreneur, international consultant, highly respected senior professional with global organizations, passionate trainer and pilot. Prathap is the creator and promoter of PotHole Raja, a Pothole Management initiative with a vision "To Make Indian Roads Pothole Free and Fix Any with 3-5 days for safer commute”. He is a Ph.D Scholar in Management Science and a visiting faculty at a number of esteemed institutions including IIM-B, Christ University, Alliance University and MS Ramaiah University. Prathap was awarded the All India Airforce Best Cadet by the then Prime Minister of India A.B. Vajpayee and represented India as Youth Ambassador to UK for an International Air Cadet Exchange program. He was awarded Global Best Cadet in UK-YEP by RAF Chief of Air Staff and was the Youngest Trainer for fighter aircrafts.

Rohan Carvalho

Bartending Champion, Co-founder & Director Bar Square Academy of Bartending
One of the most popular bartenders in the country, Rohan won more bartending competitions than anyone in the country from 2003-2008. His impressive haul includes 4 national and 2 regional titles. Rohan went on to represent India at the 18th Asia Pacific bar competition held in Singapore in 2008. A trainer with the Diageo Bar Academy, Rohan has trained more than 2000 bartenders across India and has also been an Indian Ambassador of World Flair Association and jury member at various bartending competitions.

Samay Godika

15 year old student, Popular Vote Winner & Finalist, Breakthrough Junior Challenge 2017
Samay is a 15-year-old 10th grader, from Bangalore who participated in the Breakthrough Junior Challenge 2017, an initiative of the Zuckerberg Foundation and Khan Academy. This is an annual global competition, with the objective of inspiring creative thinking about science. The winner will be awarded a $250,000 scholarship. Samay won the global Popular Vote and is a finalist. Samay chose to work on the fascinating life sciences concept of ‘’Autophagy’’. Samay was selected by Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), for their Launch Entrepreneurship Program 2017. Out of 80 students selected in the program, he was one of just seven 9th graders selected from all over the world. The MIT experience led him to co-found Sirona Security, a company creating products to prevent home delivery package theft.

Shiva Nallaperumal

Type Designer
Shiva Nallaperumal, the man trying to leave an Indian imprint on typeface design.One of Forbes India's 30 Under 30 in 2017 (the first type designer to do so), Shiva is a Graphic Designer & Type Designer who has worked with a wide range of international clients designing Identity Systems, Exhibitions, Applications and Typefaces. He has published multiple type families with Typotheque, Lost Type Co-Op and The Indian Type Foundry.

Sneha Priya

Sneha along with her partner Pranavan started SP Robotics in 2012. Subhashini Vasanth

Founder Trustee, Vasantharatna Foundation
Subhashini Vasanth is the Founder Trustee of Vasantharatna Foundation, started in the memory of her husband, Col. Vasanth V, who was awarded the Ashok Chakra (Posthumous) in 2008 for his selfless, supreme sacrifice while fighting terrorists in Jammu & Kashmir. Her own personal loss motivated her to start the Foundation, to create a support system for the well-being of families of soldiers martyred in the service of the nation. She was recently awarded the Neerja Bhanot Award in 2016 in recognition of her work for the foundation. Subhashini is an eminent Bharatnatyam exponent known for her intense abhinaya and immaculate footwork. She has performed in several dance festivals, both in India and abroad and is acknowledged by critics and connoisseurs alike. She now divides her time performing, teaching, spending time with her daughters and reaching out to other families like herself.
