In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Fine artist and writer in cultural affairs, interested in heritage, Ambassador of Peace, the founder of the “Love & Pace Painting” project. He established and managed a number of centers and prizes that support art, talent, and creativity such as; Color of Hop initiative that supports cancer patients.

إسحاق الشيخ مهندس بترول و طالب دراسات عليا في علم النفس. يدفعه شغفه للإلقاء و علم النفس لمد يد العون لمن يعاني من الأمراض النفسية، و نشر الوعي بين أفراد المجتمع. Isehaq Alshaikh is a petroleum engineer, and a postgraduate student in psychology. With his public speaking abilities and passion for psychology, he strives to spread awareness and help those who suffer from mental illness.

Ismael Hejles اسماعيل هجلس

الأستاذ إسماعيل مُولع بمختلف أنواع الفن من نحت، التصوير، الخط العربي وأخيراً التوثيق الكتابي للتراث وبالأخص التراث المعماري، أسس مؤخراً فريق التوثيق بمنطقة القطيف. Ismail has distinct interest in various types of arts rang from sculpture, photography, calligraphy. He utilized his skills to document the heritage. He recently has established a team of professionals in Qatif region to capture and record heritage.

Mohammad Al-Issa محمد العيسى

مهندس استشاري متقاعد حديثًا من شركة أرامكو السعودية بعد خدمة ٣١ سنة. وهو توستامستر حاصل على وسام العريف المميّز وهو أعلى وسام تمنحه منظمة التوستماستر العالمية. A recently retired consulting engineer from Saudi Aramco Company after 31 years of service, and a distinguishable toastmaster.

Raed Al-Jishi رائد الجشي

شاعر ومترجم, عضو في تمائم أدبية وجمعية الثقافة والفنون حاصل على الزمالة الفخرية في الكتابة من جامعة أيوا بأمريكا,صدر له رواية، مجموعتين مترجمتين من الشعر المعاصر, 9مجموعات شعرية بالعربية وديوان باللغة الإنجليزية - تُرجمتْ أعماله إلى عدة لغات منها الفرنسية, الإنجليزية, الإسبانية الفيتنامية, الصربية, الهندية والإيطالية. A poet and translator, born in Qatif 10/10/1976. Member in Culture and Art Association in Dammam. He has an Honor in Literature from Iowa State University. He published a novel, many translated collections of contemporary poetry, and a collection of poetry in English. Raed books has been translated to many languages including French, English, Spanish, Vietnamese, Serbian, Hindi, and Italy.

Saeed Al-Jaroudi سعيد الجارودي

Saeed Al-Jaroudi holds a PhD in inorganic chemistry from King Fahad University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM) and currently works as a researcher for Saudi Aramco. Dr. Saeed has published a great number of journal papers and has 6 patents, most of which are related to using gold compounds as anticancer agents. سعيد الجارودي يمتلك شهادة دكتوراه في الكيمياء الغير عضوية من جامعة الملك فهد للبترول والمعادن ويعمل حاليا كباحث علمي في شركة أرامكو السعودية. الدكتور سعيد له العديد من الإصدارات في مجلات علمية عالمية ويمتلك ٦ براءات اختراع معظمها متعلق باستخدام مركبات الذهب لعلاج السرطان.

Shukry Ashour شكري عاشور

عاشق للموسيقى و الجمال، قدم أعمالاً عن الأرض والأم والبيئة والأطفال، و ساهم في المسرح و تحفيز المتفوقين. نمت لديه فكرة مشروع موسيقي باسم "غناتي القطيف"، ينثر من خلاله حب الأرض، الإيمان بالوطن، و فخر الإنتماء. تم التحضير لهذا المشروع وتنفيذه في مدة ٤ سنوات، ليتضمن ١٣ عملاً باللغة الفصحى، و كذلك اللهجة القطيفية. A music enthusiast that dedicated 4 years to present the society with a “musical project” titled “Al Qatif, My Dearest”. Through his music, Shukri aims to express love for our land, and pride to be a part of our country. This musical project consists of 13 musical pieces in both formal Arabic, and Qatifi dialect.
