We build them, we traverse them, and sometimes we even burn them, for better or worse. For TEDWomen 2017, we'll explore the theme of Bridges, in a city full of crossings and connections.
Over the course of the day, speakers will share ideas from society to work, arts and innovation, as well as life, relationships, and personal stories.
We'll explore and span bridges across race, background, belief, perspective and other differences that seek to divide, with the hope of finding the common ground that brings us together as empowered women.
TEDx Winston-Salem Women debuted in 2016 with a bang, featuring a variety of local voices and perspectives. This year, we are expanding our horizons as well as opening the door to more women to attend. We are going national! This Thursday, November 2, we will be live-streaming from the annual TEDWomen2017 global conference in New Orleans.
We hope to return next year with a full TEDx Winston-Salem event featuring local voices!
