Albert Saguil

Albert "ALone" Saguil is a 19 year old student at Simon Fraser University, as well as a lifeguard and swimming instructor. from Langley, BC. He is highly-known for his passion of freestyle dancing. Throughout his IB days in high school, Albert would learn dance through Youtube videos and TV shows. His love for the art has pushed him to learn not just the basics but also the history. Albert's drive for dance has given him opportunities to dance in both shows and performances. His performances have won him 1st place at Teen Fest Vancouver and also 1st place at Youth Talent Search BC 2015. He is now part of the mega crew, Unity Dance Co. and is relentlessly pursuing the knowledge of the dance world.

Alex Nguyen

Alex Nguyen is a first year business student at Kwantlen Polytechnic University. He actively works with 2947 Army Cadets in Richmond, BC helping youth become better leaders and community members.

Harjinder Saran

Blind since birth, Harjinder Saran has been presenting to classes on disability since grade 10 in order to educate on living with vision loss. Harjinder is currently serving her second year on a board of directors of a non-profit organization as the youth representative for the blind and partially sighted youth across British Columbia.

Hyeok-Kyoung (Emily) Kwon

Emily is a graduating student at R.E. Mountain Secondary School in Langley, British Columbia where she spends most of her time in the IB Diploma program. Emily is highly involved in her community whether it be spreading awareness for mental health or tutoring fellow students. In her free time, Emily can be found composing and performing piano music, or in debate and public speaking involvements.

Jordyn Laird

Jordyn is first year university student. She is studying Honours Psychology with Human Services at Trinity Western University. Jordyn enjoys exploring leadership opportunities and working with young people. While working with youth, Jordyn has noticed an ongoing theme; not only in her life but the lives of those she works with as well. That theme asks the question "am I good enough?" and "Why do I look this way?". She realized that body image is a universal problem and shares her thoughts in this TEDx talk.

Junhyuk Lee

Yuki, from Japan, and Junhyuk, from South Korea, are International Students in the Langley School District. Yuki has been playing piano for 13 years. Junhyuk has been playing the violin for 6 years. To perform this piece, Yuki and Junyuk began with the piano music and together, composed the complementary violin music.

Kenneth Xing

Kenneth is a senior at R.E. Mountain Secondary in Langley, British Columbia who is involved in various extra curricular activities.

Yuki Onodera
