Theme: Complex Actions

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Andrea Barisani

Andrea is a researcher in computer security. His experiences are focused on protecting systems and critical infrastructure, computer forensic analysis and research of new and unconventional cyber attacks. In 2005 he founded a consulting company, Inverse Path, committed to the development of new software and hardware solutions as well as proactive security for customers ranging from small business to Fortune 500 companies.

Stephen Taylor

In a career spanning over twenty years Stephen Taylor has covered a variety of roles, including several Director level and Senior Consultant positions. He has cooperated with important companies and government agencies in both Europe and the United States, helping them with technology identification, strategic business planning, market research, product development and commercialization of technologies. Since 2009 he has held the position of Director of the Technology Transfer Department at AREA Science Park, Trieste.
