Theme: The Quest For Truth

For the second edition of TEDxChoiceSchool the theme is “The Quest For Truth.” This year we will be unveiling the various truths which can't be seen by the naked eye and show us the perspectives of the various speakers who will be the ones to unveil it for us.

This year's speakers are an eccentric bunch. We have a speaker who has overcome cancer without chemotherapy and only her pure willpower to keep her going, A four time national film award winner, A woman's rights activist, a lawyer who, after reading all three of the Holy Books, is a strong follower of Islam and this year's student speaker who will change your view on the concept of beauty.

At TEDxChoiceSchool we aim to break the illusion of lies we are surrounded by and discover a new world in The Quest For Truth.

Asha Krishnan

Lawyer

An enkindling personality who worked her way through the odds with just her zest, zeal and impeccably calm personality. Asha Krishnan is a non practicing lawyer, who has also worked in the field of journalism. After her inspiring breakthrough over her extreme condition of cancer without utilising chemotherapy, she ventured into business as a strong, brave and independent woman.

Diya Isha

Student

Strong but kind, Diya, an 11th grader at The Choice School will talk about "The Correlation Between Beauty And Truth" and just like how truth changes as time passes, so does our concept of beauty.

Kirthi Jayakumar

Social Activist

An Indian women's rights activist, a social entrepreneur, a peace activist, artist, lawyer and writer. She founded The Red Elephant Foundation, an initiative built on storytelling, civilian peace-building and activism for gender equality. She is the author of renowned works such as Stories of Hope and The Dove’s Lament. An avid reader with a keen interest in Peace and Conflict, Public International Law and Gender issues, Kirthi has worked as a volunteer with the UN, as an advocate and activist with several grassroot organisations and academic foundations.

Mayankutty Mather

Lawyer

TEDxChoiceSchool will witness a powerful speaker and an inspiring personality, Mayankutty Mather. As a senior advocate of the Kerala High Court, he has an expertise in property, criminal, family, divorce and consumer cases. Along with actively practicing law, he has read all three holy books but is a strong follower of Islam, and often delivers influential messages about religion.

Sabu Cyril

Production Designer

Four time National Film Award winner and internationally acclaimed production designer Sabu Cyril will be at TEDxChoiceSchool. Known for his work on Enthiran, Baahubali and Om Shanti Om, Cyril has more than 2,500 advertisements, 3 teleserials and 115 feature films in Malayalam, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Kannada under his belt and has also directed the stage design for the Miss World beauty pageant in 1996.
