Theme: Unfurl the Boundaries

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Origin and evolution of life on earth has been a result of entities pushing into unknown and uncertainty. In this way, nature shows that the only route towards progress is overcoming limitations. Even today, progress in human life is possible only by unraveling the boundaries. These limitations can be external or internal, technological, social, environmental, racial, cultural, intellectual, emotional and so forth. Thus, our event aims to understand what it means to “Unfurl the Boundaries”.

Youtuber, Actress and Host of Whack

Freishia Bomanbehram is the face of YouTube channel "Whack" where she shares some really cool facts and stories of the world and has developed an understanding community of diverse people who listen and discuss their thoughts on a particular subject. She is best known for her lead role as Sucheta Duggar in Cambala Investigation Agency and as her lead role in the film, When Harry Tries to Marry. She has appeared in the international films such as Blood Monkeys and Curse Of King Tuts Tomb. Being a travel lover, big foodie, and fitness enthusiast, she joined NDTV Good Times as an anchor with her own travel series ‘Hangout Amreeka’. Since then, she has hosted many shows on the channel like Band Baaja Bride 5, India with Marriott, Lakme Fashion Week, India Couture Week.

Manish Paul

Actor, Anchor, Host, RJ and VJ

Manish Paul is a famous name in the entertainment industry. His work as an actor, entertainer, VJ, RJ, and comedian has won him universal applause. He is a Delhiite at heart, but otherwise, a complete mumbaikar. His charm and quick wit immediately put a spell on all and he become everyone’s favourite. Though Manish Paul has a great fan following now, his journey was not a cakewalk. Manish got his big break in the industry when he began hosting the show Sunday Tango on Star Plus in 2002. But what really put the star host on the map was the dance reality show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa and then there was no turning back. He has tickled the funny bone of many with his on-stage acts, says the jokes are scripted but most of the things he does are on the spur of the moment.

Pulkit Gaur

CTO and Founder of Gridbots Technologies

Pulkit Gaur, an Engineer by education and the founder of Gridbots Technologies found his passion in Robotics. He has been building robots since his childhood. He quit his job as a technical manager with Meditab Software in Ahmedabad to launch Gridbots Technologies in 2007. He has since supervised the development of over 50 robots that have applications in a diverse range of fields from defense to home-making. He currently serves as the Chief Technology Office of Gridbots and drives the companies Innovation and Technological advancements. He has received TED Fellowship - MIT Young Innovator Award and Rajiv Motwani Circle Fellowship apart from various other national and international awards for his technological innovations.

Raamesh Gowri Raghavan

Advertising Professional, Epigraphist and Linguist

Raamesh Gowri Raghavan is an advertising professional, writer, epigraphist and linguist based in Mumbai. Mr. Khurana and Mr. Raghavan are running a collaboration that explores the interface between brain science, technology and the arts - literature, sculpture, painting, music, and cinema. They are planning to give a combined talk and combining science and art, otherwise known to be contrary fields.

Ridhi Doshi Patel

He specialises in business strategy and future trends in energy, measurement and control and is recognised as an expert in the area of metering and utility revenue protection for both developing and developed countries.

Sukant Khurana

Scientist at CDRI

Dr. Sukant Khurana is a neuroscientist and data scientist who enjoys studying complexity and nuances, whether of brain functioning, drug discovery, development of new statistical tools or analyzing large data sets. He is currently a scientist at CDRI, Lucknow, with a PhD in neuroscience from Austin, Texas, and is also a well-acclaimed painter. He is also a known public speaker.
