At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Alexandra Sakellariou

Alexandra Sakellariou is a graduate of the Department of Physical Education & Sport Science (TEFAA) of the National & Kapodistrian University of Athens with a specialty in Equestrian Sports. She has been a Level 1 coach of the World Riding Federation and a certified riding rider for years. She is the founder of the Patras Riding School and the Achaia Therapeutic Horse Riding center.

Athanasia Tsoumeleka

Athanasia is a Greek race walker. In 2004 she won the first place in the 20 km distance of the Athens Olympic Games.

Charalampos Rimpas

Charalampos Rimpas is a graduate of the School "Studies in Hellenic Culture" of the HOU and a postgraduate student at the School of Educational Sciences of the HOU. He has been a member of the Greek Byzantine Choir since 1991, with hundreds of concerts in Europe, America, Asia, as well as recordings, radio broadcasts, sequences and artistic collaborations. Since 1995 he has been main chorister in churches of Athens and the province, and since 1997 he teaches at the Athens School & Conservatoire and the province where he teaches and directs Traditional Chorus and Byzantine Dances. He has been a professor of Greek Traditional Music at Lamia Music School since 2001. At the same time, he has been conducting since the foundation of the School of Traditional Music, having performed concerts and participating in events, performances, translations and other activities. He has been repeatedly awarded for his work. Since 2016 he is a collaborator of the Lyceum of Greek Women of Lamia, where he teaches and directs the Traditional Chorus ensemble.

Dimitris Gremiloyiannis

Dimitris Gremiloyiannis is the founder and the owner of Agrifarm. "AgriFarm Premium Products" produces and distributs agricultural products that are cultivated in a completely natural way both on privately owned farms in Central Greece and on selected agricultural land in the rest of Greece.

Dr. George Ch. Stergiopoulos

Dr. George Ch. Stergiopoulos is a Senior Researcher, Research Project Manager and a Greek poet. He is the author of three collections of poems written in the Greek language: “She, Devil” (2011, Ekdoseis ton Filon books), “The Gospel of Time” (2012, Ekdoseis ton Filon books) and “Exile to Birth” (2015, Gabrielides books). In 2012, he was nominated for the State Literary Award for Best Debuting Author by the Greek Ministry of Culture. His book “She, Devil“ has won the second prize for “best collection of poems from a young poet” from the National Poetry Symposium (2011, University of Patras, Greece). Poems, philosophical essays and articles of his have been published by most Greek literary journals currently in circulation. His educational background consists of the following: He completed his studies in Music Theory with a distinction (GPA 9.9/10) (1993-2001). He has a Ph.D. degree at Information Security software and Critical Infrastructure Protection from the Department of Informatics, Athens University of Economics and Business, Athens, Greece, an M.Sc. degree at Information Technology from Athens University of Economics and Business, Athens, Greece and a B.Sc. degree at Computer Science from the University of Piraeus. He is an Adjunct Lecturer for Athens University of Economics and Business, University of Piraeus and University of Derby. His current research interests focus on Critical Infrastructure Protection, Risk Assessment, Application Security, Software Engineering and Cryptographic protocols. He is the principal investigator in numerous sponsored research projects, including research prototypes funded by the Google DNI fund. His professional experience includes working as a Risk Assessment consultant in projects using ISO-certified methodologies for developing enterprise Security Plans, Business Continuity Plans, Destruction Recovery plans and assessing enterprises against IT threats and risks through governance, compliance, identification, and validation. He also works as a IT security penetration tester.

Ergastiri Politismou Lamias

The Cultural Association “Ergastiri politismou Lamias”, which is active in the city of Lamia, was established in 2005 with a constant orientation in the preservation of the cultural, musical-dancing tradition and the customs of our country. Folklore, music and dance are the main concern, in order to prevent the oblivion of the Greek tradition. Ergastiri politismou Lamias continues to promote the customs, organizing cultural and musical events representing our country abroad and co-organizing top performances.

The Cultural Association “Ergastiri politismou Lamias”, which is active in the city of Lamia, was established in 2005 with a constant orientation in the preservation of the cultural, musical-dancing tradition and the customs of our country. Folklore, music, dance and the revival of tradition are the main concern, so that the oblivion of the Greek tradition and the removal from our roots are kept away from the new generation. The Lamia Culture Workshop continues to promote the customs, organizing cultural and musical events representing our country abroad and co-organizing top performances.

Father Antonios Kalligeris

Father Antonios Kalligeris is a Greek orthodox priest. He was born in Athens in 1964. He studied Theology at the University of Athens and at postgraduate level in the Department of Political and Social Anthropology of the Panteion University, as well as in the Department of Theology of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, where he received a degree in Pastoral Science Ethics and Sociology. He was the director of the Youth Office of the Archdiocese of Athens. Today he runs the Pastoral Office of the Archbishopric for Marriage and Family Affairs. At the same time, he serves as a theologist at a public school in Athens and as a priest in Agia Filothei. He is married and father of 6 children.

George Dampasis

George Dampasis was born in Lamia. He has studied at the “School of Contemporary Art” by Kostas Kazakos and Direction at National Theater. He has taken part in several theatrical performances. His television appearances start in 2005. He has directed two theatrical performances as well as two performances of the Theatrical group of former prisoners in the framework of his collaboration with the Resettlement Center for Prisoners “EPANODOS”. At the same time, he voluntarily encourages theater workshops at Reservation Centers since 2013. He is a founding member of “APICCO – Artistic partnership In Community’s Creative Opening”, which promotes Theater Workshops for prisoners and former prisoners and also the research on theater in socially vulnerable populations.

The Music School of Lamia has been operating for seventeen years. It offers its students a multifaceted education that goes beyond the boundaries of a conventional school, bringing them into contact with the words and popular tradition of our musical culture as well as with the musical culture of other peoples. In this context, the musical choices of the West meet up the East and, among them, balance the idiom of the Greek musical tradition.

Nikos Diminakis

Nikos Diminakis is actively involved in music through scientific research, concert activity and teaching. He is a PhD candidate of the Department of Music Studies (Aristotle University of Thessaloniki). His dissertation is related to the analysis of the work “Nine Etudes for Saxophones in Four Books” by composer Christian Lauba. He has presented and published his articles in international musicological conferences. He holds a degree of counterpoint and the first recognized saxophone diploma by the State Conservatoire of Thessaloniki.

Nikos Zervas

Dr. Nikos Zervas is a results-driven executive with extensive experience in the silicon IP industry. Blending strong business, management and technical skills, Nikos has been leading innovation and delivering growth to small and medium size companies for more than 15 years. He is currently the CEO of CAST Inc, where he previously served as a COO, VP of Marketing and VP of Engineering. Since he joined CAST in 2010, Nikos has been instrumental in transforming CAST’s business model, forming strategic alliances, defining, developing and launching successful silicon IP core products, and significantly increasing CAST’s revenue and profitability. Prior to working at CAST, Nikos co- founded Alma Technologies, the first Greek silicon IP vendor, and served as Chairman and CEO for nine years. Under his leadership Alma Technologies bootstrapped to become a reputable provider of cutting edge image and video compression silicon IP cores. Nikos served on the board of the Hellenic Semiconductor Industry Association from 2009 until 2013, where he was responsible for strategic planning. Nikos received a Diploma and PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering from University of Patras Greece, in 1997 and 2003 respectively.

Petra Kalampoka

Petra Kalaboka has studied Literature in the Linguistics Department of the Philosophical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. She has knowledge in Digital Marketing and Business Management Strategy through her MBA at AUEB.

Professor Elias Siores is the Provost and Director of Research and Innovation, Bolton University. Educated in the UK (BSc, MSC, MBA, PhD) and pursued his academic career in Australia (Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne) and Asia (Hong Kong, Dong Guan) before returning to Europe (UK) as a Marie Curie Fellow. His R&D work concentrated on advancing the science and technology in the field of automated Non-Destructive Testing and Evaluation including Ultrasound, Acoustic Emission, and Microwave Thermography. His recent R&D work focuses on Smart / Functional Materials and Systems development. In this area, he has developed Electromagnetic, Electrorheological, Photovoltaic and Piezoelectric Smart Materials based Energy Conversion Systems for Renewable Energy, Medical, Health Care and Wearable Devices. He has published over 300 publications including 8 Patents . He has been a member of editorial boards of international journals and a Fellow of IOM, TWI, IEAust, SAE and WTIA. He has served on Board of Directors of a number of research centres worldwide including UK, Australia, Singapore and Hong Kong, all associated with the Bio- Nano-Materials field. He has received 15 awards in his career for R&D achievements.

Vassilis Kykrilis

Vasilis Kyrillis is a coach of Life Strategic Intervention. He collaborates with "The Concept" project and the Greek academy of Sports "Studio One". He quickly recognized the extraordinary results he had created in all areas of his life in the application of the information, tools and methods he had enthusiastically collected and continues to collect from dozens of seminars and more books. So, it decided in 2014 to focus exclusively on empowering people to assume the responsibility of all who function properly in their lives and the obligation to change what can be improved. His studies in England in the field of Communication and Negotiation helped him to have a very remarkable 12 year career in shipping, which, combined with his training by Anthony Robbins through the "Robbins-Madanes Training Center" , maked him extremely effective in all its collaborations with both individual customer and companies.
