After our very successful first TEDx Glasshouse Christian College event in 2016 which focussed of the world of the future, we are delving into the power of relationships in our world.

Our theme for 2017 is, “CONNECTED”, with a focus on ideas that change the world through our relationships with each other, the environment, work, technology and any other aspects of our connected world.

Amelia Lockhart

PhD Candidate; Researcher, Bond University Gold Coast, Australia
Amelia Lockhart completed a Bachelor of Psychological Science (Honours), and a Master of Functional Behaviour Assessment (Autism Spectrum Disorder) at Bond University, Gold Coast, Australia. She is currently completing Doctor of Philosophy with the primary research topic of social skill neuro-markers in young people with ASD.

Chris Boden

Tech Executive, Startup Entrepreneur, Consultant
Chris has enjoyed an international career as a tech exec and startup guy focused on emerging technologies. He currently consults on product development and digital transformation. Inspired by the mini-retirement concept, Chris moved his family to Noosa from Silicon Valley where he had run a mobile startup ,spun out of Lonely Planet, for the previous 5 years. Chris and his teams created some of the very first smartphone apps for travel and had them featured by Apple at the launch of both the iPhone App Store and iPad, going on to generate millions of downloads and helping the company become the world's leading travel publisher on mobile platforms. Before joining Lonely Planet, Chris founded and helped run startups in the mobile publishing space with stints in Sydney, Beijing and Singapore helping take a startup from concept through to a Nasdaq exit. Chris is passionate about developing a centre of excellence for Immersive Storytelling & Robotics on the Sunshine Coast through CreateNoosa

Daniel Pampuch

Chief Executive Officer Christian Schools Australia
Dr Daniel Pampuch was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Christian Schools Australia in January 2017. He was previously the Executive Officer of the Uniting Church Schools Commission, overseeing 18 institutions in Queensland. Daniel has 20 years of experience in Christian Education and most recently served as the Executive Principal of the Crest group of Christian schools and Early Learning Centres. Daniel has a PhD in Next Generation Leadership as well as Masters in both Business and Educational Leadership. Daniel is currently completing a Masters in Theology. In 2014, Daniel was awarded the Mayoral Certificate for Contribution to Education in the City of Casey; the Federal Government Award for Outstanding Service in Education, as well the CSA award for Outstanding Service to Christian Education in Australia. Daniel has served on a range of state and national educational boards and committees.

Fiona Cran

College Head Pastor
Fiona Cran’s life has been a series of fortunate and unfortunate events, which have all contributed to her being the passionate person she is today! Currently she is serving as College Head Pastor with a Secondary School focus at Glasshouse Christian College. Previous endeavours included Psychiatric Nurse, Christmas elf photographer, Youth and Children’s ministry/ Youth Camp/ Kids Clubs leader, RI ministry, conference speaker and ministry team trainer. To stop her from getting bored in the midst of this, she is completing a Bachelor of Theology. 26 years ago, she married Martin and within 6 years had 4 amazing kids! She is the happiest with her family at the beach and in the bush, travelling the world, cooking and being creative. Her passion is supporting people on their faith and life journey. Her role at the College combines her favourite things; hanging out with young people, creating positive spaces to explore life and God, and working with an amazing team.

Julian Munyard

Julian Munyard is an upcoming singer/songwriter who recently performed an original song at TEDx Glasshouse Christian college.

Paula Barrett

Founding Director of The Friends Program, Resilience speaker, Executive, CEO, Motivational Speaker
Dr Paula Barrett is a scholar and researcher in the field of child psychology. She has been published widely in the area of prevention and treatment of anxiety and depression and the promotion of resilience through the evidence-based FRIENDS Resilience Programs – www.friendsresilience.org For over two decades Dr Paula Barrett has authored and evaluated the well-known FRIENDS progams, recognized in an evidence-based review conducted by the World Health Organisation. Dr Paula Barrett received the Highly Commended Certificate in the Human Rights Medal of the Australian Human Rights Commission for her contribution to the well being of children, youth and the wider community. She has been recognised as being amongst the top 1 percent of publishers within the field of Psychology and Psychiatry at an international level.

Rob Maguire

Secondary Teacher, Year 12 Coordinator
Rob Maguire is a secondary teacher and current Year 12 Coordinator at Glasshouse Christian College. He has taught across year levels and disciplines over the last 10 years and is passionate about the role of innovative Christian education in shaping the next generation of young people and the society they will enter. Rob has three kids of his own and keeps busy outside of school with Church worship and preaching ministry where he can. His younger life was quite ‘colourful’ and this, along with a strong faith, has served to fuel his unique perspectives on life and how to value it.

Ryan Messmore

Executive Director of the Millis Institute
Dr Ryan Messmore is the founding Executive Director of the Millis Institute. Before moving to Brisbane, Dr Messmore served as President of Campion College, a liberal arts college in Sydney. He has also served as a research fellow at The Heritage Foundation, the largest research and education institution in Washington, DC. His commentary and analysis have appeared in major newspapers such as The Washington Times and The Australian, online venues such as Crosswalk.com and FOXNews.com, and in national magazines such as First Things, Touchstone, and Comment. Messmore was also founding Director of Trinity Forum Academy in Royal Oak, MD. He received his bachelor’s degree in public policy and religion from Duke University. He holds master’s degrees in theology and Christian ethics from Duke Divinity School and Cambridge University. He received his doctorate in political theology from Oxford University.

Simon Ives

Non Profit Founder, Global Digital Marketing Specialist, Milk and Honey Projects, CV Global
Simon and his wife Kamini founded the charity Milk and Honey Projects in 2009, with the purpose of empowering middle to upper-class Cambodians to use their influence and potential to help their own people. In 2016, Simon produced an internationally award winning documentary about their work in Cambodia called "Missions in the Wilderness: Milk and Honey Cambodia". Simon is also the Digital Marketing Specialist on the Global team at CV, where he manages global marketing campaigns and supports and advises teams across Asia Pacific, Latin America, and Europe. CV is a Christian ministry with a strategic goal to reach a billion people with the Gospel message using cutting edge technology and media. Simon played a leading role in the 2016 campaign "Goeverywhere" that exposed nearly a million people worldwide with the Gospel message.
