Retired IPS Officer

Mr. K Vijay Kumar is a retired IPS officer. He served as the Chief of the Special Task Force of Tamil Nadu, the unit behind the valiant encounter of the infamous bandit - Veerappan, in Operation Cocoon, 2004. Mr. Kumar also served in the elite Special Protection Group (SPG) with the former Prime Minister during the years, 1985-1990. Mr. Kumar also served as the Director General of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) from 2010-2012.
