In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Artak Ordyan

Marketing Manager
Artak had been a professor in Yerevan State University in the faculties of Sociology and Economics for nine years. He worked at the RA government-affiliated State Property Management Execution Department. After, he worked in health and social reform programs of USAID.

Donara Davtyan

Student
Donara can never slow down the temp of her speech. There is only one day, when people are able to understand her: the day of the actual presentation. By her own words, she never pays attention at people's faces, when they meet up with Donara, but you can catch her staring on your fingers!

Hovsep Krikorian

Student
Hovsep Krikorian moved from Syria to Armenia in the summer of 2015. Hovsep started his education in Halep and still continues it here in Yerevan. Despite the hard work of medical school students, Hovsep considers playing the piano a vital part of his life and always finds time for it. He was doing a volunteering in Halep for 5 years . He took a part in the programs organized by Armenian Youth Association’s students’ group. He is volunteering here in Yerevan as well, in “ Halep ‘’ NGO, where he is one of the leaders of SKY club.

Irina Pahlevanyan

Founder of "Indigo" Kids Club
Irina Pahlevanyan is a diplomat. She graduated from the "International Relations" faculty of YSU and participated in numerous courses both in Armenia and abroad. For more than 8 years she had worked for international organizations and was involved in community development, anti-corruption and social entrepreneurship programs. Irina founded "Indigo" kids development center in 2014. Since 2015 she is a producer of various projects for children. She also cooperates with several organizations as a fundraising consultant. She is married and has 3 children.

Lilit Chitchyan

Accountable Governance Program Officer at OXFAM Armenia Armenia
Lilit Chitchyan is working in the sphere of development by doing advocacy work for accountable governance and several programs for human rights protection and poverty reduction for over 10 years. She worked for more than six years in Armenian branch of the international company “Oxfam”. In there, she planned and implemented advocacy campaigns and projects. She is specialized in public administration and local self- management and has a PMP certification in project management. Now she is a defense expert in the organization "Save Children". Lilit works on the implementation of child rights and child protection, which include education for children, inclusion / integration of individuals with disabilities.

Lusine Araqelyan

Social Worker
Lusine Arakelyan graduated from the faculty of social pedagogy of Mikael Nalbandian state university in Shirak. She says that she loves children and enjoys working with them. Lusine writes poems and plans to publish a collection of her poems in near future. Even though she is afraid of darkness, one of her favourite activities is to stay home in darkness and read books. She considers education and work to be the greatest achievements for her.
