Theme: Rest Of the Ice Berg

This event occurred on
August 5, 2017
Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh
India

At TEDxBIMTECH, where x denotes independently organized TED event, speakers from various walks of life shall share their ideas and experiences with the BIMTECH community which comprises of the students, faculties, alumni and corporate. The aim of this event is to provide a new perspective for the community to look at the world and make it a better place. We believe that these ideas have the potential to spark constructive conversations and lay a path for building a sustainable future.

Our theme of the event is “Rest of the Iceberg”. We all see the realities in front of us, but what we miss out on are those larger realities. We all see the tip of the iceberg but fail to see the rest of it. Given your educational background and then this off beat career that you pursue, it goes without saying that your perspective of things is different from that of a common man.

our event’s theme tries to shake up the human inside you, to open the minds of everyone and inspire collective, dynamic, sustainable change. Our theme, “The rest of the iceberg” is an attempt to bring together stirring, inspiring voices who, by their talks, that are stimulating, thought provoking and en-kindling, bring out thoughts that matter. In this world of 9 to 5 jobs and lives lived looking forward to weekends, we try to broaden the narrow sight that we as humans have today, and remove the bottleneck that incapacitates us from looking at the bigger picture, from knowing about the world that we don’t see. Our endeavor with this is to help people escape the tunnel vision and discover opportunities that elude them, the godsend they can prove to be. The problems that aren’t on the surface but bigger than, & the catastrophe that it could bring. We want to help people realign their perspective, to look at not just the part that is visible but the rest of the iceberg.
