Alex Delorey
Canadian Space Agency Candidate
Alex DeLorey undertook a grand journey to be a finalist to be in the most
recent Astronaut Recruitment Campaign with the Canadian Space Agencey.
He is an accomplished professional engineer and project manager and
has worked on projects across the globe. His has been inside nuclear reactor
vaults, performed life-saving rescues and in his spare time learned to
fly, scuba dive and skydive. He continues his work in the nuclear field,
managing projects as part of a major program to refurbish six CANDU®
nuclear reactors on the Bruce Peninsula and is constantly working towards
what may come tomorrow.
Medievel History
Danièle has been researching and writing about the Middle Ages for
over a decade. A featured writer at Medievalists.net, Danièle has also
been published in three international magazines. She worked as the
subject matter expert for OntarioLearn's "The Middle Ages and the
Modern World: Facts and Fiction", currently being ordered at nine Ontario
colleges, and her book, The Five-Minute Medievalist, debuted at #1 on
Amazon's Canadian charts (Western European History and Medieval
History). Her writing has reached over half a million readers, and counting.
Having left six years of college teaching behind, Danièle now divides
her time between giving workshops on the Middle Ages, writing articles
for web and print publications, and working on her second book. When
she is not reading or writing, she can be found drinking tea, practicing
archery, or sometimes building a backyard trebuchet. You can find out

Katherine Brent
Youth Sciences
Katie participated in youth science fairs for six years, and was a finalist at
the Canada Wide Science Fair for four of those years, where she medalled
each time. In January 2015, she was one of three Canadians to be invited
to represent the country at the National Youth Science Forum in
Canberra, Australia. In the past seven years, Katie has been privileged to
have won over sixty-five awards in the fields of science and
engineering, most of which were presented for her projects in the field
of health-oriented computer engineering devices. Currently, Katie is
pursuing studies in engineering at McMaster University.
Satinder Brar
Registered Psychotherapist
Satinder is a Registered Psychotherapist with over 15 years experience
working with individuals and couples to improve their functioning lives.
She empowers her clients to improve their emotional well-being,
enhance their ability to engage in healthy interpersonal relationships
and provides them with the necessary tools to live their best lives. She
has worked in a variety of settings including government, corporate and
private practice. Satinder has appeared on television and written for
local magazines. She is fiercely committed to raising mental health
awareness and decreasing the stigmas.
Raising Awareness to Human Trafficking in Canada
Shae, a highly successful real estate agent with the Invidiata team, in 2010,
Shea founded Free-them, an initative dedicated to raising awareness to
abolish human trafficking in Canada.
Free-them is a Stakeholder to three federal bills that have amended the
Criminal Code of Canada and also to the Federal Government’s NaNonal
AcNon Plan to Combat Human Trafficking. Invidiata has appeared on
national and local media channels, including The Globe and Mail, CBC,
CBC Radio, CTV, The Toronto Star, GlobalTV, CityNews, CP24 News.
Invidiata was a nominee for Canadian Women’s Fashion Magazine Chatelaine
as a Top 20 Finalist for “Canada’s Women of the Year 2011; recipient of
the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal 2012; National Freedom
Award in October 2012 and most recently, Shae was recognized as a
“Woman of Honour” at the 2016 Honouring Heroes event presented by
“The Joy Smith Foundation”.
Stacy-Ann Buchanan
Actress/Model/Documentary Producer of "The Blind Stigma"
Stacy-Ann Buchanan is a professionally trained theatre and film Actor. In
2012 she produced The Mystic Effect-a show that embodies music, poetry,
dance, fashion and film. In 2013, she created her own production company—
Stacy-Ann Buchanan Productions. In 2014 she received the Entrepreneur
Award at the Int'l Women Achievement Awards. She established
the Stacy-Ann Buchanan Scholarship—awarded to students pursuing art
related studies. In 2014, Stacey-Ann directed and produced her first award
winning documentary—The Blind Stigma, which discusses mental health
within the black community. Her achievements in the community led her
to being selected as one of 100 Black Women to Watch in Canada in 2015,
awarded the Young Fem Leader award in the same year and listed as the
150 Black Women Making Canada Better. Stacey-Ann, a motivational
leader and mental health advocate, shares her personal journey while
inspiring others to turn their Pain into Power and to Make their Passion
their Paycheck
