In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Aifique Khaikal

A driven and creative individual from an early age, Aifique Khaikal is both a virtuoso performer and a dedicated leader. With 8 years of experience in circus arts, he has been exploring various forms of movements in this art form and continues to push the boundaries. From humble beginnings of poi spinning to now juggling, he stands out with his incorporation of contemporary dance in his performances. “Where Passion Meets Flow”, Aifique is currently the managing director of Malaysia’s leading fire and lights troupe PsycuSix. Together, they are nurturing the circus arts community in Malaysia and bringing awareness of this art to the public. Thus far, Aifique Khaikal has been travelling the world to learn, teach and perform. From USA, UAE, UK, Philippines, Taiwan, Vietnam, Maldives, Indonesia, Korea, Hong Kong and Singapore, he continues to delve into the unknown to gain and create something new.

Andrew Tan Khin Huat

A graduate from the field of Computer Science, yet a finalist in the Malaysian Idol talent competition, Andrew has a very wide area of interest. From technology to visual arts, biology to mechanics, architecture to social engineering, music to finance, leadership to algorithms, theology to physics, he found the design and development of games to be the perfect amalgamation of various disciplines. Andrew now lectures on games programming and games design at TARUC where he is also advisor to two student societies. In his off time, he leads a youth group and teaches music.

Ayez Shaukat Fonseka

A success story of the maxim "Follow Your Passion", Shaukat is one of the fortunate few who can say that they are living their childhood dream, even when it sounds almost impossible. After deciding to pursue his dream and starting up the professional wrestling scene in Malaysia, he is now South East Asia's most popular professional wrestler. In following his passion, he is also a well-known and sought-after action director in the Malaysian film industry.

Bryan Alexander Lim

Bryan Alexander Lim, better known as Bryzoid is a storyteller who focuses on photography, branding, travel, writing, film and life. His photography style varies from Fine Art Photography to Street Photography, Journalism and more. His eventful past projects repertoire include Nike Air Max 95 "Greedy" campaign for Masses, Documenting the conservation of forestry with TRCRC, Album artwork for singer-songwriter- OJ Law, most recently, a photography editorial for HUF Malaysia. He has also been featured on varies front cover and interviews in magazine from Malaysia. He also landed his TV Show as a host for “Four By Four” (2015), 8TV’s off-road travelogue that features four men from different backgrounds who embarked on an off-road adventure in a Four-Wheel vehicle that took place in Malaysia, Thailand, Cambodia and Vietnam. The show garnered high ratings and viewership. Besides photography, he is the creative director of fashion label OBSCR, content creator of 1972FC- a storytelling football platform, and creative contributor of the run crew- WeBeThirsty.

Careen Tan

Careen is a lifestyle blogger who has been blogging at www.careentan.com for the past 14 years, and she uses her blog as an avenue to share her thoughts, life's special moments, and journey as an entrepreneur and mother with her friends, family and readers from around the world. She is also a mother to an 18-month old baby boy named Tyler, and the founder of The White Atelier- a bridal boutique offering wedding gown rentals and bespoke services to brides in Malaysia and across the region. One of the values that she hangs on to is to always stay true, and never lose your soul in the pursuit of success in life.

Chin Ren Yi

Ren Yi is the co-founder and Creative Director of myBurgerLab and also the founder of The Good Food Alliance, a coalition of restaurant owners in KL/PJ. His role in myBurgerLab shifts among product development, operations, marketing, and branding. He is a mechanical engineer by training but an educator and hospitality mentor at heart.

Jerome Axle Brown

Axle has spent 16 years working on entrepreneurship, innovation, and strategy. Following an exciting early career in two Obama presidential campaigns and entrepreneurship projects with the U.S. Department of Energy, he co-founded the education startup, The Open Master’s Program. After successfully launched Open Master’s on 3 continents, he pursued an 18-month research sabbatical in South East Asia to explore the question: "How can business generate happiness and reduce suffering in the world?" Now, he is the Head of Innovation at Human Inc. focusing on strategic R&D, business development, and workshop facilitation.

Low Ngai Yuen

Ngai Yuen is the epitome of a female powerhouse. Determined and with a relentless can-do attitude, she was the youngest executive director of Carrefour Malaysia and Singapore. Today, she leads WOMEN: girls in bridging social gaps through art and empowering women to make bigger impacts in society. She sits on the Women’s Advisory and Consultative Council for the Ministry of Women, Family and Community Development, is a founding member of the Global Entrepreneurship Movement, and is the President of Kakiseni. Ngai Yuen’s accolades are many, including the Great Woemn of Our Time Award, the most successful women of the year and tokoh waninat muda.

Master Manisekaran

Manisekaran is a name synonymous with Yoga in Malaysia. He’s been spearheading the revival and renaissance of authentic Yogic values, knowledge, culture and practices through several non-profit organizations, namely the Malaysian Association of Yoga Instructors and the Malaysian Yoga Society. These bodies have been actively organizing classes, lessons, workshops and yoga training programmes for the past 20 years – being responsible for a positive revolution of yoga taking place in Malaysia and outside of Malaysia. Thoroughly-trained and certified instructors from these organisations are teaching yoga professionally throughout the world. He is an ocean of wisdom, a true and well-loved teacher with the greatest passion to awaken others. He teaches and shares rejuvenation and anti-aging natural technology with all, and shares abundantly the art of marrying enlightenment with everyday life situations in a dynamic yet harmonious manner.

Talitha Tan

This MET10 Awards’ Best Female Artist nominee is a singer-songwriter, radio darling, and fitness athlete. Besides performing at events including Urbanscapes, Publika Jazz Fest, My Urban Hunting by Mercedes Benz, Tiger Bites, Sky Music Festival in Japan, and Lenka’s Asia Tour, Talitha has collaborated with Ali Aiman, Darren Ashley, Bo Amir, Goldfish and Blink, and Ajax Da Fishwork. Also one of the foremost female parkour practitioners in Malaysia, Talitha’s athletic prowess is demonstrated in campaigns for UNIQLO, Lee Jeans Malaysia, and FlipOut Asia. She recently delved into acting with a leading role in the web series and feature film, “Hey Orang Kita”.
