Theme: Leading in the Digital Era

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Letrech Abderahim is a Singer-songwriter and video producer who debuted on YouTube in 2012. He rose to fame as a Youtuber and is known for covering songs by popular artists like Sam Smith and Lukas Graham, as well as some original songs such as “I can’t live without you”, medleys, and mashups, along with frequent collaborations with other artists. Today, he has over 50 Musical Videos online. Abderrahim works in a GVR studio as a sound engineer and a freelance videographer. His skills and talents made him the recipient of multiple awards. In 2013, he was selected by “Pepsi sing off” competition to attend Finals of The X Factor Arabia in Lebanon and take part of its coming season in 2014. In 2014, he won the 1st place award in “Aswat W3ida” contest in Oujda. In 2016, His cover of LUKAS GRAHAM’s song got over 100 Million hits on MTV’s international cover of the month competition, and was aired on MTV’ TV channel for a month along with international artists.

Aicha Adoui, a Civil Society young leader and the founder of Avenew Network she is currently pursuing her master’s degree of Language, Communication and Society at Sidi Muhammed Ben Abdillah University in Fez, Morocco. Aicha obtained her BA in Literature from Mohammed First University in Oujda, Morocco. She is USA Department of states exchange Alumna who has taken part In the Study of the US institutes (SUSI) of 2016 at the University of Kansas. Aicha is also a member of the Flipped Learning International and has recently published a book entitled “ ICT Integration through Blended Learning”

Kamal Mhamdi

Educator

Kamal Mhamdi is an educator and researcher from Morocco. He has been teaching English as a foreign language for the past 15 years. Currently, he is teaching at CPGE classes. His academic background includes a Master’s degree on Humanities and Area Studies and a large number of doctoral classes on cultural studies and research methods. Taking part in three prestigious international programs on international education in USA, Morocco and Japan, International Leaders in Education Program - ILEP, TGC and 文部科学省 MEXT respectively, has allowed him to make his classes more global, critical and creative. Kamal talked about ‘Multiple Intelligences in Education and the Power of Love’ in TEDxChibaU first edition in December 2016.

A young artist from Morocco, he earned his Baccalaureate in 2016, and is currently majoring in physics and chemistry at Hassan II Ain Chok faculty. Yassine is a coach of human Beat-boxing at the Positive School of HipHop. Yassine is the winner of the 11th edition of Festival international des cultures urbaines 2017 (FMUD) Beat-Box category which took place in Meknès. Yassine participated in many artistic events and programmes, recently "The Next Level" with an exchange group from Washington DC.

Younes Drissi

Movie Director

Younes Drissi, a photographer and a movie-maker. Graduated from Mohamed Abed Jaberi high school in 2015, earned his Brevet de Technicien Supérieur in 2017, and is currently majoring in Multimedia studies in Oujda. He made his first debut short film “Only Me” in 2016 for Prix National de la Vie Privée competition. Afterwards, he continued making his own short films on his own Youtube Channel, such as “Disconnected” and “200”. Youness also works as a freelancing movie-maker, he has a rich filmography both in short films and Musical Video, such as “Percodan - Aissa core” and “Kitkat – plumiere”. He is also very passionate about photography; he focuses on street photography and shoots mostly in black and white. Currently, he is working on a new musical project named “MaZone".
