Theme: Economies of the Future

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Anastassiya&Agata&Malwina .

Anastassiya Petrova is a jazz pianist/organist from Kazakhstan, a participant of international festivals in Italy, Bulgaria, Russia, and the US. Agata Kulis is a singer-songwriter from Poland. She dedicates herself to classic R&B, and contemporary pop compositions, smooth jazz and her own original music. Malwina Masternak is jazz singer from Poland, a participant and first prize winner in multiple festivals and competitions in Europe recently started exploring R&B scene.

Daniel Dippold

Daniel is a motivated and easygoing young individual. He is president of The Kairos Society in Switzerland, entrepreneur of two companies which are in their seed stage, and a productivity, performance and fitness coach. He has worked in South Africa, Australia, Switzerland and Germany. He holds various Board Positions, such as Vice President at Toastmasters SG, Partner at YouKnow and Member of the Supervisory Board at Project, a 400 employee corporation. Prior to that, he has been part of organising the St. Gallen Symposium, a platform for intergenerational debate (www.symposium.org), and START Summit, Europes biggest student-run entrepreneurship conference (www.startsummit.org). His grades at the university score in the highest percentile (99%). Though studying business, his areas of interest are the realms of AI, neurology and productive psychology (esp. habits).

Emily Burns

Emily Burns is the founder of Learnivore, the fastest growing marketplace for private instructors in the U.S. She is a graduate of Sweet Briar College, with majors in biochemistry and music, and a drop-out of Rockefeller University where she worked on a Ph.D. In neuroscience until she realized she hated research. She lives in Boston’s South End with her husband and three children, and is an avid cook, reader, triathlete, and at least 76 other things.

Jodi-Tatiana Charles

Charles wears two hats, as "Brandographer ™" and Founder of La Capoise Galerie, a branding and marketing firm dedicated to educating entrepreneurs, nonprofits and small-business professionals on the importance of growing their personal brands. And in her role, As the Director of Small and Diverse Business Engagement she serve as the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce’s primary point of contact for small and diverse businesses looking to grow their presence in the Greater Boston region. "To build your brand, you need to BE your brand."

Jose Antonio Coka

Ecuadorian singer/songwriter and producer, who is working on his solo career. He's currently studying Music Production and Engineering at Berklee College of Music; where he wrote the majority of his songs. Fueled by his rock and folklore influences (most latin American, as Gustavo Cerati and Jorge Drexler) he presents his work, which will take you in an emotional yet groovy journey through his thoughts and ideas on modern day happenings.

Justin Park

Justin Park, an International Space University and University of Iowa alumni, strives to show students how they can grow up and someday work in the space industry. Mr. Park currently serves as the President of Intergalactic Education, a software company dedicated to promoting STEM education and raising algebra test scores. Park self-published his first novel, Pushing the Envelope, in 2006 and two years later was awarded the Yuri Gagarin Medal of Cosmonautics in Moscow, Russia for his contributions to the field of electromagnetic propulsion. He sees space as the answer to solving world peace. “Everything we hold of value on Earth – resources, real-estate, and technology – can be found in infinite supplies in space.”

Marjo Koivisto

Marjo Koivisto leads the Economics & Finance team at the World Economic Forum’s Global Programming Group, based in in New York City. Her cluster covers global macro trends to inform agendas in Europe, China and other global regions. Prior to joining the Forum, she worked as an economist and private sector development specialist in World Bank Group investment lending, on infrastructure and industrials investments in EMEA. She is a graduate of the WEF Global Leadership Fellows Programme across the Wharton, Columbia, CEIBS, INSEAD and LBS business schools; obtained her PhD from the London School of Economics; was postdoctoral scholar at Harvard University; and led a global affairs publication start-up in London. She is passionate about technology, emerging markets enterprise and outdoor sports.

Michael Neece

Michael is co-founder of 7 technology-based companies that improve business and personal productivity. His products have been used by thousands of people in 73 countries. His latest software company called Jenyta, delivers the next-generation work management system that orchestrates how people and systems work together across distance, time, and companies.

Renee Richardson GoslineI

Renée Richardson Gosline is a Senior Lecturer and Principal Research Scientist at the MIT Sloan School of Management. She has been named one of the World’s Top 40 Professors under 40 by Poets and Quants, and an MIT “Iron Professor.” Gosline’s main research interests are in how heuristics bias our decision-making, and how technology affects these choices. She received her undergraduate and graduate training at Harvard University, including a Doctorate from the Harvard Business School.
