Christopher Go

Christopher Go is the famous Cebuano astronomer who discovered the smaller red spot on Jupiter. An alumnus of the University of San Carlos, Go started out as an amateur astronomer with only a pair of 10x40 binoculars and later went on to participate in numerous astronomical studies and accounts. Together with prominent planetary scientists de Pater and Phil Marcus, the Filipino astronomer observed Jupiter in the spring of February 2006 with the Hubble Space Telescope and discovered the color change of the white spot Oval BA of Jupiter (later called Red Spot Jr.). He also confirmed the Jupiter Impact observed by Anthony Wesley in 2010. Go’s passion and dedication for his career made him earn the Association of Lunar and Planetary Observers' prestigious Walter Haas Award in 2008. The International Astronomical Union also officially designated Asteroid 2000 EL157 to 30100Christophergo in his honour.

Erwin Macua is a college security guard who gained prominence by graduating Cum Laude in the school were he is also working. With his never-say-die spirit, he rose to national prominence because of his inspiring moment to pursue his dream of being a teacher.
