In November, the world celebrates the international day of children. On this occasion, Yemen children will organize several creative and interactive activities conducted by children themselves. It will give a voice and a platform to reach the world with their stories, hopes, and demands through their TED talks and talents performances.
Children will advocate for their issues and needs and ensure that their voices are heard locally and internationally through a spectrum of out-of-the-box initiatives.

AbdulRahman Alnufaish

Abdulrahman started his life with paralysis; now he’s not only able to gain physical ability to walk but is running marathons and winning them.

Ahmed Khaled

Ahmed and Najm Khaled, Falling in Love with the Camera Two brothers with passion for acting. They’ve been acting and recording since a very young age and that’s when their love story with the camera begun. They were then introduced to social media after publishing a video on their Facebook page. Overnight, they became celebrities with over 100K likes; sending simple yet very strong messages on social behaviour, cholera and other issues. The story has just begun but they’ve already faced the ups and downs of fame.

Elias Alameri

Elias Alameri : Elias at only 10 years can explain vividly the experience of war and violence. He can also tell you that war robs peace, friends and stability. He can even tell you that it steals our loved ones. Elias has been displaced three times due to the ongoing fighting in the destructed city of Taiz. He once carried a weapon on his shoulder, now he carries his guitar. A guitar he loves so much, he describes it as his sixth sense.

Mahmoud Mujeeb

Mahmoud and Sadeel, two siblings from what used to be the peaceful city of Aden loved singing and music. The war separated them where Sadeel was displaced with the family leaving Mahmoud behind. Sadeel and her family suffered throughout displacement. Mahmoud’s was not less agonizing. They are finally joined again by singing.

Najm Khaled

Salim was only 10 years of age when he lost his sight. Salim lost his eyes but not his dreams; dreams that have surpassed all expectations. This talk is about the power of words in forming our dreams and we are the once who owns our dreams.

Wedad Hamzah, “The girl who cheated Death” A cancer survivor who beat all odds with hope, knowledge, and support of her believing mom.

Yara Bahran

Yara also known as the “old philosopher” among her family and friends has extreme passion for science and even more appreciation for the scientists that made all our lives easier but specifically for her, they are the reason she’s alive, health and having so much fun learning.
