In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Sandra Jan

After graduating from the Department of Psychology in National Taipei University of Education, Ms. Jan was once a teacher in a school, the place in which she found her frontier spirit, the mentality similar to her experience as a former exchange student in Macaw. She strived herself to be“colorful“in her industry experiences, as she once made spaghetti in restaurant, cut lavenders in the mountain, and what’s more, had an interview which she was almost to be a flight attendant. Ms. Jan eventually settled in “Happen Co-Working Space”, in which she learned how to manage a space. She involved a wide range of projects during her career in Happen, including Classical City Tour, Southeast Asian Exhibition, Green-River Market, etc., and she could apply what she had learnt from psychology and the experience from restaurant. Ms. Jan met tons of people in Happen and attempted to connect folks in a mission to create this space as a platform for each youth.
