An intimate, enthusiastic audience will gather to enjoy six area speakers share their ideas and view a special selection of TED videos. This live audience experience created by theater professionals will also include a musical performance. Audience members have highly rated past events, commenting that the widely divergent topics compliment each other and that there are opportunities for meeting new people, discussion, and interacting with the presenters.

Brian Crabtree

founder of Crabtree Scientific, bio-engineer
Brian Crabtree is the founder of Crabtree Scientific and the Laboratory Coordinator for Southeastern Minnesota Water Analysis Laboratory in Olmsted County. Brian studied Bio-Engineering at the University of Idaho and following graduate school went on to study brewing in Munich, Germany. His passion for public health and clean drinking water began with volunteer work in refugee camps. After witnessing the physical impact of contaminated drinking water, he put his engineering skills to work to develop water treatment systems that now serving thousands of people in refugee camps around the world.

Danny Mishek

President and founder of Selfeco, developer and manufacturer of greener products
Danny Mishek is the president and founder of SelfEco. Danny is a 3rd generation manufacturer and has been published in several trade magazines for manufacturing. He has presented around the world regarding trends in manufacturing and technology highlighting changes in materials and processes. Danny carries a double major from Mount Mercy University and still is impassioned to getting the next generation into manufacturing while educating and exposing the next youth movement into the development of greener products. When Danny is not talking manufacturing or sustainability he can be found enjoying red wine, golfing and time with his family. (These are not in order)

Gerald Meux, Jr.

High Power Rocketry, Foodservice Sales Manager for Fortune 500 Co.
Gerald Meux, Jr. is a Foodservice National Sales Manager for a Consumer Packaged Goods company. He has worked for the company for 7 years in multiple locations across the country, currently residing in Austin, MN. Gerald is originally from Phoenix, AZ and has his degree is Business Management. Gerald has a strong passion for his High Power Rocketry where he has been a member of international organization Tripoli Rocketry for over 10 years and serves in a leadership role for the organization. Early on he had strong interest in pursing a career in the Aerospace Engineering field and was dejected due to downturn of the industry during the recession in 2008/2009. Not to give up on his passion he still is involved with his hobby today and has the best of both worlds mixing his hobby and has day to day work, which is unrelated, when applicable to enhance his quality of life.

Nate Bailey

entrepreneur, author, coach
Nate lives in Dodge Center , MN with his wife and three children. He is a best selling author on Amazon with his book "Leading a Legacy Lifestyle." Nate is a successful entrepreneur in Real Estate Investment and as the owner of an Independent Insurance Agency. He is also a speaker and coach who has dedicated his life to helping others grow and expand personally as well as professionally. Nate's talk is from a very unique experience that he had and packed full of expected and unexpected lessons that he wants to share that led to him transforming into the person he is today.

Peter & Henry Jacobs

father-environmental consultant, musician; son-12 yr-old student, musician
Peter Jacobs has degrees in geology and geochemistry and has worked in the environmental consulting field for over 25 years. He studied jazz piano privately with Bill Duna from the St. Thomas University in Minneapolis. In addition to performing solo and small group jazz, he has played keyboards in many pop and rock projects including Taboot, nominated "Best Cover Band" by the Minnesota Music Awards in 2001. On trombone, he has performed in diverse settings such as the Austin Symphony Orchestra, community bands, theater pit orchestras, rock bands, and a circus band. Henry Jacobs is a 5th grade student at I.J. Holton Intermediate School. He has been studying violin with Susan Radloff for about 6 years. He has performed with area musicians at the Paramount, the Hormel Home, and for private and community events. He is also active in choir, community theater, and league soccer.

Terri Bergstrom

massage therapist, trauma survivor
Terri is a lifelong resident of Austin, MN. she graduated from Austin High School, attended Riverland, and went on to complete her B.S. in Social Work at Bemidji State University. Her own personal path to healing led her into massage and bodywork, which she has made a career for the last 18years. Always curious, she has explored a variety of mind/body modalities personally and professionally. She believes in the power of addressing healing, health and wellbeing through a blend of mind/body approaches and hopes that through her continued journey she can help others as well.
