This TEDxYouth@WISS will be held Thursday 27th April 2017
and the theme is WHAT IF? encouraging a wide range of talks and idea sharing. We have a combined line up of exceptional student and adult speakers, performances and thought-provoking TEDTalks to show. We hope to facilitate deep discussion and open sharing.

Student
Angela Gall is half German and half Chinese, and enjoys the exposure to two cultures. She has live all her life in Shanghai and likes the diverse atmosphere of living in such a big city.

Audrey comes from Belgium. She is obsessed with Harry Potter and the Beatles. Her loves include her brother, reading fan fiction and rock climbing.

Arushi comes from New Delhi, India. She is passionate about theatre and acting.

Darren Scully

Teacher
Darren is an educator and theatre practitioner. He has spent the past 33 years teaching young people about theatre, literature and how to tell their stories. He has lived, worked and travelled to over 30 countries. For the past 20 years he has also worked for ISTA and is proud to work with a creative team of individuals here at WISS. Darren draws inspiration from confrontation and challenge and is passionate about the role of the arts in making the world a more interesting and exciting place.

Ehud Lee is from Taiwan and has been living in China for 8 years now. He likes to play guitar, edit videos and ride a unicycle. He is inspired by a sport that i found two years ago...and it changed his life!

Kyle Stanley is 13 years old. He was born in Washington D.C. but has lived in Shanghai for 7 years. One thing that inspires him is people from all over the world that are trying to make a difference in this world, and to help others as well.

Patricia Kohring

Patricia Köhring is from 10h grade at WISS. She is from Finland but was born in Sweden and has lived in Shanghai for the last 8 years. She is passionate about Tennis, enjoys literature and taking part in theatre.

Wei Wei Shannon Gluckman

Mother, architect
Wei Wei is an architect designer, independent curator and mother of two beautiful children. Born in Beijing and graduate of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. In 2006, with her husband Andrew Gluckman she founded People’s Architecture Foundation. In 2012 inspired by Lego,she created the learning concept Playable Design.Wei Wei Currently lives with Andrew, her son Kai and daughter Kexin in Shanghai.

Gege is Chinese with a Dutch passport. She is inspired by people in our world that fight for a change and for what they believe in such as Malala, Martin Luther King Jr, Mahatma Gandhi.
