In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Avleen Kaur Lamba, Gursahiba Gill and Samreen Chhabra are spoken word poets and founding members of Mukhtalif, the poetry society of MCM DAV College, Chandigarh and have been the top finalists of National Youth Poetry Slam held in Bangalore last year.

Parmish Verma

Parmish Verma is a Punjabi songs and movies director. Parmish has featured in many music videos and movies. Before going to Sydney he did theatre for 10 years. In 2011, Parmish did his debut in movie Punjab Bolda, role inspired by his own life. He directed his first video ‘Zimmewari Bhukh Te Doori -Story of an Adolescent Migrant’ inspired from his own life.

Professor Dr Raj Singh

An eminent scholar, Dr Raj Singh is the Vice-Chancellor of the Rayat Bahra University. A renowned educationist of the country, Dr Singh has earlier served the Indian Air Force for about 14 years prior to entering the field of education. A professional with sound experience of academics, administration, systems development, human resource development and retention, governance and building new institutions, Dr Singh has a unique leadership style that creates positive environment and brings out the best in the team for achieving organisational goals.

Raul Villamarin Rodriguez

Raul Villamarin Rodriguez is a Criminal Intelligence Officer at Interpol, Neuroscientist, Psychophysiologist & rated Asia's Top Expert in the Science of Detecting Deception. He provides training and consulting services for national law enforcement, Interpol, government agencies, large corporations and firms throughout Europe and Asia. Raul is Certified Master Anti- Terrorism Specialist. He has relevant experience in several cases regarding renowned criminal and terrorist organisations such as D-Company, Boko Haram and ISIS.

Saksham Verma

Saksham Verma is a budding contemporary Street Artist, Illustrator and Graphic Designer. He is presently studying Art and design at Srishti School of Art, Design and Technology in Bangalore.

Slam Out Loud

ASCI uses arts in education to make learning extraordinary, and the power of community in order to instil leadership, expression and mindfulness in youth and children. Their vision is of a society where “every individual has a voice” and is empowered to create social change. Their Project Slam Out Loud that uses the art of spoken word poetry is already creating ripples; and their team including the founder, the children and Jijivisha fellow will speak on the Power of Having a Voice.

Sudhanshu Kaushik

Sudhanshu Kaushik is the founder of Equality Initiative, which sends teachers to students in rural areas of India which has now over 32 teachers and 500 students attending classes. Sudhanshu worked for the Permanent Mission of India to the United Nation. Sudhanshu has worked for CNN's Fareed Zakaria GPS where his pitches were accepted and put on air for the show as well as for CNN's South Asia bureau. He's been an active member at New York University where he acts as the Vice President of the Gallatin Student Council and president of the International Affairs & Human Rights Club.

Sunil K Verma

Sunil K Verma is an empathetic and passionate teacher with 14 years of experience. Hailing from Mandi in Himachal Pradesh, Sunil did his education from Army Schools and was part of the Republic Day Camp as a Cadet in NCC. He has been a part of Basic and Master Practitioner Courses with Dr Richard McHugh. He is an avid reader and debater and has participated in boxing in various Inter College and State Championships.

Vikash Das

A social entrepreneur by profession, an engineer by education and a public speaker by passion, Vikash is the founder of Vat Vrikshya, a social enterprise which aims to facilitate the development process to improve the quality of life of tribal women through participatory action and entrepreneurship so as to ensure sustainability. He has been the part of various state and national level UN Sustainable Development Goals meetings.

Vinita Zutshi is the creator and writer of Carefree Parenting. She is a parent, writer, editor, online content creator and a storyteller. published author of children's non-fiction, with children's and adult fiction books. Vinita teaches Creative Writing and Structured Writing to students, teachers and executives.
