TEDxYouth@SPCP is the first ever TEDx event to be held at St. Paul College Pasig. It is a joint project by GIFT (Giftedness Instruction For Talent Development) Core and SCT (Student Coordinating Team) in the hopes of empowering the youth through impactful speakers with unique stories. It was an event by the youth, for the youth that will serve as the catalyst for future projects that may potentially change the world.

Bryan McClelland

Social entrepreneur
Filipino-American Bryan Benitez McClelland is a social entrepreneur that is involved with Gawad Kalinga (GK), a Philippine-based movement that aims to alleviate poverty by restoring their dignity. It is in his involvement with Gawad Kalinga that he came up with the idea of the environmental-friendly Bambike. McClelland is passionate in uplifting the bamboo industry in the country, and with the help of eco-friendly technological advancements, his socio-ecological enterprise producing bamboo bikes also creates jobs for people who are in need of earning a living.

Dr. Queena Lee Chua

Mathematics professor
A professor at Ateneo de Manila University, Dr. Queena Lee Chua is currently transforming the landscape of STEM education through the merging of the fields of math and psychology in her work. Known as a science and technology communicator, educator, and adocate, Dr. Chua aims to "make science and math learning 'fun' through 'simpler, more understandable language'".

Girlie Lorenzo

Social worker
Girlie Lorenzo graduated with a Masters in Psychology from the Ateneo de Manila University. Here, she first got to encounter pediatric cancer patients through the coursework the school provided. This was the first stepping stone that led her to become the co-founder and executive director of the Kythe Foundation, a non-profit organization aimed towards improving the quality of life of hospitalized children with cancer and other chronic illnesses. All throughout her life as a social worker, she believes that psychosocial support works miracles for children, and that there is hope in even the darkest of places.

Lyka Gonzalez

Director, photographer and video journalist
She is a director, photographer, and video journalist, specializing in the field of documentaries. She graduated in 2015 with a Bachelor's Degree in Communication from Ateneo de Manila University and was granted the Loyola Schools Award for the Arts in Visual Arts for Photography. Agos: The Manila Dream, her undergraduate thesis, premiered at the 68th Festival de Cannes - Court Metrage in May 2015. Since then, her work has been published and featured in various publications. Lyka currently works as a Senior Video Producer at GRID Magazine, producing editorial documentaries and multimedia stories about the Philippines.

Therese and Patricia Rivera

Dancers + social workers
Therese Rivera, who works at Speddance Movement Therapy, and Patricia Rivera, a current student at the University of the Philippines Diliman, are sisters who cofounded The Heart at Play Foundation, Inc (THP). The foundation is a result of the sisters' passion for dance and helping others. Every Saturday for two hours, this duo - along with their mother, Ana Rivera - works towards improving the motor skills of children and adults who have special needs through a technique called Dance Movement Therapy (DMT). Through their services, they hope to empower the special needs community. Aside from this, they are both members of Legit Status and coaches of Kid Lightning Crew, a dance group they formed for young teens.
