In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Clinton Palanca

Clinton Palanca is the Philippine’s premier food writer with his work published in the Philippines Daily Inquirer and Esquire Magazine. He is also the award winning author of My Angkong’s Noodles and The Gullet: Dispatches on Philippine Food. He attended Ateneo de Manila University, has an MSc in Sociology from Oxford University, and a Doctorate in Food Anthropology from SOAS University of London.

Martin Lorenzo

Martin Lorenzo is a serial industrialist and devoted family man, managing eight companies across various sectors while raising 12 children with his wife, Leah de Leon Lorenzo. He is currently Managing Partner of Sierra Madre, a private equity firm as well as chairman of various companies representing diverse industries such food, renewable energy, and finance. One of the most admired restaurateurs in the Philippines, Martin is the former Chief Executive of Pancake House Inc, as well as the former Managing Director of Del Monte Pacific. Martin Holds an MBA in Finance and Corporate Strategy from Wharton Business School in Pennsylvania.

Martin Tan is an advocate of supporting small and medium sized businesses in the Philippines. Martin currently works with Sierra Madre, a private equity group that aims to change the growth trajectory of companies through strategy development, operational enhancement and the implementation of sustainable practices.

Nicole CuUnjieng

Nicole CuUnjieng is an academic who holds a Ph.D. from Yale University in Southeast Asian and International History. She also co-founded PAMPUBLIKO, a digital public policy publication that seeks to reorient the mainstream Philippine discourse away from personality politics and toward substantive policy discussion. She currently leads the reform incubation team of the Office of the Chief Economist at the Department of Finance of the Republic of the Philippines, where she shepherds the Economic Development Cluster's priority economic reforms.

Paul Soriano

Paul Soriano is an award-winning TV Commercial and Film director, writer and producer. He created TEN17P, a director-driven company that believes in telling stories with depth and social relevance. TEN17P has produced over 8 films which have received critical acclaim from film festivals all over the world. Most notably, Transit the Philippine entry to the Best Foreign Language Film category for the 86th Academy Awards, Kid Kulafu which received rave reviews for successfully telling the childhood story of Manny Pacquiao and most recently, and Hele Sa Hiwagang Hapis (A Lullaby to the Sorrowful Mystery) which won the prestigious Silver Bear at the 66th Berlin International Film Festival.

Ron Hose is the co-founder and CEO of coins.ph, a mobile first remittance and financial services platform built on Blockchain technology. Prior to coins.ph, Ron was a founding partner at Innovation Endeavors, an early stage venture capital fund backed by Eric Schmidt. Ron’s previous ventures have been backed by Sequoia Capital, Bain Capital, and Silicon Valleys best-known angel investors. Ron holds a Bachelor's and Master's degree from Cornell University, where he graduated at the top of his class.
