The theme of our event is ”The Time is Now” which promotes the value of active involvement at an early age and the need for innovative project at the current moment. Our values are innovation, active involvement and teamwork.

David Timiș

Growth Engine Manager at Google

David Timis is a Growth Engine Manager at Google, where he coordinates the most ambitious digital skills training program in Romania, Atelierul Digital. He is also an active member of the Global Shapers Community, a network led by young people who are exceptional in their potential and achievements. David was recently named the “Young Leader of the Year” in Romania by Revista CARIERE, as a result of his continuous work to promote education, digital skills, and entrepreneurship among young people, through initiatives such as Aspire for Teachers, Atelierul Digital and Startup Weekend Bucharest.

I I would describe myself in a few words, I would say that I am a complex combination of technical abilities, organizational skills and a passion for teaching. I'm currently a master student at the Faculty of Automatic Control and Computers, where I study Advanced Computer Arhitectures. During my High School years, I also started to become interested in volunteer work and organizing events. I swiftly became a leader of my peers, representing them in the National Council of High School Students. As a university student, I am dedicated to continuously develop these skills and use them to help the people in my community. In this respect, I have dedicated my free time to be actively involved in youth NGOs and communities, as well as doing volunteer work. Last, but not least, I love to teach others and pass on the skills that I have learned. I have no difficulty in training young children (6-14 years old), High School students, or university students - and I enjoy every moment!
