TEDxTCU 2017 is designed to give communities the opportunity to create dialogue through TED-like experiences at the local level. This year, we will feature three speakers each with equipped with an invigorating talk about a myriad of things. From human sex trafficking to navigating interracial relationships, TEDxTCU 2017 offers life through a different lens.

Madelyn Carter

Madelyn is a senior political science major at Texas Christian University. She is from San Antonio, Texas and enjoys soccer and combating human sex trafficking. Her passion for combating sex trafficking stems from a trip she took to India where she saw sex trafficking first hand, and has never looked back.

Ngoc Tu

Ngoc Tu is a junior business and computer science double major at Texas Christian University. He is from Hanoi, Vietnam and enjoys long walks on the beach in Vietnam which have some of the best. A fan of engaging with others different from himself, Tu is constantly speaking to others. Most recently, he won an essay contest and was chosen to speak at the United Nations.

Philip Kafuluma

Philip is a sophomore math major at Texas Christian University from Kampala, Uganda. Philip likes to spend time with his friends and is heavily involved with intercultural services on campus. He loves to reflect on his experiences and enjoys in-depth conversations with others of varying perspectives.
