TEDxSilesianUniversityofTechnology is initiating the spirit of TED talks and inspiration in Gliwice. In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group.
The event will aims at providing inspiration for students and teachers of Silesian University of Technology, and for all others interested, at the beginning of the semester. The event is hosted at the faculty of architecture. The talks will cover a range of transdiciplinary activities "at the interface" between design and other fields. They will also give a fresh view at some of the issues, that designers, scientist and engineers are dealing with and give interdisciplinary inspirations. The language of the event is English.
The honorary patronage over the event is granted by the Dean of the Faculty of Architecture, Klaudiusz Fross Phd, DSc, Arch, and by the Polish-U.S. Fulbright Commission. The event is financially supported by Vice Rector for Research and Development Professor Marek Pawełczyk PhD, DSc.
