In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Charles Ruhabuka

Charles Ruhabuka is a micro microfinance expert with vast experience supporting development of growing Microfinance institutions and banks to transform lives and extend the boundaries of financial inclusion. He is a graduate of Economics and political Science (Makerere University) and holds an MBA (Finance and Banking) of Uganda Martyrs University. He previous worked in the management of Centenary and Global Trust Banks,and Finca Uganda (MDI) Ltd. He consulted for PESS Limited across East Africa and is a passionate trainer that also facilitated short-term courses at the Uganda Institute of Banking and Financial Services.

Fadzayi Mahere

Zimbabwean advocate of the High Court and Supreme Court of Zimbabwe. She's also a political activist who has been very vocal in her opposition to Zanu-PF governance since about 2015. She is also a lecturer at the University of Zimbabwe Falculty of Law with a unique take on feminism.
