Carlos Henrique de Brito Cruz

Brito Cruz is a member of the Brazilian Academy of Sciences and is a Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science. He received the Ordre des Palmes Academiques de France, the Order of Scientific Merit of Brazil and the Order of the British Empire (OBE) in 2015. Electronic and physical engineer, Brito Cruz is a professor at the Gleb Wataghin Institute of Physics of the State University of Campinas (Unicamp), where he was rector from 2002 to 2005.
Graduated in Electronic Engineering at Instituto Tecnológico de Aeronáutica (ITA). He earned his Master's and Ph.D. degrees from the Gleb Wataghin Physics Institute, where he has been teaching since 1982. He is currently a full professor in the Department of Quantum Electronics.
