In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Akanaphong Degen Pisanwanich

Degen is a 9 year old who loves to get to school early in the morning. He enjoys both learning and being with friends, excels at swimming and of course, making everyone laugh. He also loves to play the drums and spends time reviewing snacks, toys, and sports on his youtube channel.

Alita Anil

Alita has lived in Thailand for the last 16 years, and is currently a junior in high school. As an Indian expat attending an international school, she brings a unique perspective on national and cultural identity. In this rapidly globalizing world, she hopes to bring this conversation center stage, redefining the conventional manner by which people are labeled.

Ayush Sehgal

Ayush always enjoys taking on challenges, making him a reliable and welcome presence on campus. An advocate for self-improvement, he encourages his peers to extend their boundaries and try new adventures, inspiring them to find the best possible versions of themselves.

Matchamon Ton Nam Pianapitham

Ton Nam is an 8th Grader who comes to school with a permanent smile. She is a social helper who tries to assist others whenever she can. As she tells us in her speech, after shifting her point of view, her life turned into one she can constantly enjoy.

Nacha Goon-Nar Rapeerattanakul

Nacha is a junior who is passionate about equality and human rights. In her free time, she is devoted to various clubs and school activities, but also enjoys spending her free time reading and playing with her pet dog. She believes that, as a global citizen, everyone can contribute to solving world problems.

Piangtur Pin Thamrongnawasawat

As a 4th grader, Pin is one of the youngest speakers on our stage this year. But don’t let her age fool you; she is a globetrotter who has visited more than 20 countries, including the glaciers of Iceland and the deserts of Dubai. When not on trips, Pin travels the world through her books. She also loves to sing, first performing on stage at age five and currently part of the ES Choir. Voted by her peers to be a Junior Council rep, Pin has spent the past two years developing her leadership and her sense of giving back to the community.

Pornnapphan Proud Channara

Proud is completing her last year at Ruamrudee. Her main passion is music, both singing and playing instruments. Raised in Thailand all her life, Proud is deeply bond to her home country, its people, its language and its rich culture.

Sida Boonsom

Sida is a freshman who enjoys studying, reading and writing. She is also devoted to music and art. Although she may seem quiet and shy, she enjoys being on stage and will not let her fears stop her from doing what she loves.

Sunadda Smile Damrongmanee

Smile, a senior at RIS, has been a devoted member of Model United Nations since 2013. She is currently leading the largest MUN conference in Thailand, with participants from Thailand and several other countries around the world.

Voraya Wow-Wow Vorapanyasakul

Wow-Wow is a sophomore at Ruamrudee International School. She enjoys participating in school activities and learning through experiences. If she is not busy choreographing the cheerleading dances, you can find her tutoring in the library or planning school social events.

Zehuan Jackie Wu

Jackie Wu likes being several centuries out of date. He rarely finishes projects on time, but his dedication to what he loves is limitless.
